At least four vessels carrying oil, LPG, and general cargo passed through a brand new route that avoids international waters entirely and stays completely within Oman's territorial sea limits.

Not Iran's controlled corridor, where the IRGC boards ships and charges $1 per barrel of crude as a toll.

Not the international shipping lane where Iran has been freely attacking vessels.

Oman's waters. Which Iran does not control.

Two very large crude carriers, the Habrut and Dhalkut — along with the Sohar LNG carrier, entered Omani waters near Ras Al Khaimah and turned off their transponders to cross safely.

An Indian-flagged cargo vessel followed the same path.

Four ships. Confirmed by Bloomberg, Reuters, and NDTV through AIS satellite tracking data.

Before the war, more than 100 ships crossed Hormuz daily. Since February 28th, just 21 tankers total.

The world is desperate for this route to work. And if it does, Iran's greatest strategic weapon quietly becomes irrelevant.

Iran knows this. Which means the question nobody is asking is the most important one right now.

What happens when Iran fires on a ship inside Omani territorial waters?

Because Oman is the one neutral country in this war. The quiet mediator.

The back channel through which the only indirect U.S.-Iran talks have been held along with India.

Strike Omani waters and that back channel vanishes overnight. And this war becomes something far larger than anyone planned.
