Happy Pride month 🏳️🌈. Asicians, raise your flag and your voice. As Chester Minnit says, love is a human experience, not a political or religious statement. Love is love, and you can love whomever you want, even if they are of the same s*x. They come in different sizes, colours, races, and religious beliefs.

ASiCians, Let's fight climate change and spread awareness.
Scientists are being arrested and getting desperate to spread awareness and protest. We need to save the earth now!!! According to them, we only have 4-5 years before a catastrophic event occurs.
To help the earth in the face of climate change, we can help by performing the following:
Ways to help:
-Save electricity
-Save water or be wise with your water consumption.
-Drive less to reduce the heat and smoke that is being produced by cars.
-Plant more trees or grow your own plants at home.
-Avoid smoking or any activities that produce smoke that may harm the ozone layer.
-Unplug electronics you don’t use.
-Switch to paperbags or biodegradable plastics
-Use LED lights.
-Donate to people who are advocating and volunteering to help the environment such as Greenpeace Philippines.
-Delete unwanted emails to lessen the carbon footprint of your computer.
-Spread awareness to your family and friends.

In celebrating World Health Day on April 7,2022, here's a quote from the World Health Organization: "Are we able to reimagine a world where clean air, water and food are available to all?Where
economies are focused on health and well-being?
Where cities are liveable and people have control over their health and the health of the planet?"

In 2014, Watson was named a U.N. Women Goodwill Ambassador by the United Nations, a program that actively involves prominent personalities in the fields of arts and sports to promote U.N. programs. Her role is to serve as an advocate for U.N. Women's gender equality campaign known as HeForShe.
"If you believe in equality, you might be one of those inadvertent feminists that I spoke of earlier, and for this, I applaud you. We are struggling for a uniting word, but the good news is, we have a uniting movement. It is called HeForShe. I invite you to step forward, to be seen and to ask yourself, If not me, who? If not now, when?" Watson, 2014.

As we celebrate Women's month let us introduce one of the insipiring woman in the history Josefina "Joey" Guerrero
After the Japanese invaded, many Filipinos and Americans were placed in prison camps. Joey often visited the camps, bringing in food and medical supplies and carrying out information passed on from prisoners who listened to guards who talked too much. On one such mission, she hid a secret message in a hollowed-out piece of fruit. She was stopped by a Japanese soldier who looked over her basket, took the largest fruit and went on her way. Joey was smart enough not to hide anything in the biggest piece. The information helped the Filipino underground, and eventually they asked Joey to join their ranks. When allied forces invaded Luzon in 1944, she volunteered to work as an official spy for the Americans. She carried information back and forth across the lines and was never searched. Once, as she walked past two Japanese guards, one of them pulled on her ponytail. If he had pulled on the ribbon holding it, he would have found a secret message written on it. Later, she mapped out the minefields the Japanese placed in an area the Allies intended to attack. She identified the mines, wrote them on the map, and taped the map to her back. Walking through the lines, she was briefly stopped by the Japanese, but they soon let her go without a body search. The map was poorly concealed. Even a quick search would have uncovered it, yet she was not found out. The Allies later credited Joey with saving hundreds of lives. She was awarded the Medal of Freedom with a Silver Palm, the highest award a civilian can earn. After the war, she moved to America. What made her so successful? How did she slip through the battle lines with ease, delivering much-needed information and supplies? Why didn’t anyone ever stop her, search for her, or quiz her? She had leprosy. That is why she wore revealing clothing, not to show off her curves, but to reveal her sores. The Japanese were extremely fearful of leprosy. They would see her sores and immediately let her go. They never looked under her clothes or even asked where she was going. For Joey, the best place to hide was in plain sight, and that is what she did so successfully. BC. Cook, PhD, teaches Pacific history and other subjects at St. Charles Community College. He lived on Saipan and has taught at universities in the U.S., including the University of Missouri.
