In line with its commitment to environmental protection and community involvement, the Young Earth Saversโ Society (YESS), in collaboration with the English Ambassadors of Language and Literature Society (EALLTS) and the Barangay officials of Pudoc West led by Hon. Laymar Lorena, conducted a Coastal Clean-Up Drive on March 7, 2026, as part of its environmental extension initiative.
Carrying the theme โ๐ง๐ต๐ฒ ๐๐ถ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ฎ-๐ฆ๐ฒ๐ฎ ๐ผ๐ณ ๐ฆ๐ฐ๐ถ๐ฒ๐ป๐ฐ๐ฒ: ๐๐ฎ๐ป๐ด๐๐ฎ๐ด๐ฒ ๐ณ๐ผ๐ฟ ๐ก๐ฎ๐๐๐ฟ๐ฒ, ๐ฆ๐ฐ๐ถ๐ฒ๐ป๐ฐ๐ฒ ๐ณ๐ผ๐ฟ ๐๐ต๐ฎ๐ป๐ด๐ฒ,โ the activity gathered student volunteers and members of the community to work together in cleaning the coastal areas of Pudoc West, Tagudin, Ilocos Sur.
The coastal clean-up aimed not only to help restore and protect the coastal environment but also to raise awareness among participants about the importance of responsible environmental practices. Through this initiative, students and community members were able to reflect on the impact of human activities on nature and the collective responsibility to preserve it for future generations.

The Tagudin Local Government Unit (LGU) for providing transportation from Ilocos Sur Polytechnic State College to Pudoc West, ensuring the safe and convenient travel of the volunteers.

Through activities like this, YESS continues to encourage students and community members to take part in protecting the environment, proving that small collective actions can lead to meaningful and lasting change for our planet.
