ISPSC Laboratory High School Did It Again!

The ISPSC Laboratory High School proudly participated in the Livelihood Training cm Product Development Competition, showcasing the creativity, innovation, and dedication of both its Food and Non-Food Product Development Teams. Each group presented projects that reflected the school’s commitment to excellence and skill-building.

Our Non-Food Product Team composed of Elise Alana Maruquin, Jedrek Monis, Michae Erika Lapitan, Esmeralda Libed, and Winona Aliyah Tiongco earned 3rd Place in the Product Development (Non-Food) Category with their impressive project featuring miniature landmarks of Tagudin. They were guided by their coach Sir Jayjay Batara, who also serves as the adviser of FFP-FAHP organization. Their creativity, dedication, and teamwork brought pride to ISPSC LHS.

Meanwhile, our Food Product Team composed of Kezhia Khate Gabriel, Rain Santos Sabandal, Janella Cabello Jasmin, and Nathaniel Corcuera presented their original creation, the Calamansi Tira Tira Candy, a locally inspired confection that highlights both flavor and innovation. Under the guidance of Ma’am Denise Lou Aguillan, the team showcased strong effort and passion for product development. Their commitment and creativity truly represented the spirit of ISPSC LHS.

Hands-On Lifesaving: ISPSC-LHS Students Experience Full-Scale BLS Simulation

In its continued effort to build a safer and more disaster-ready community, the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO) Tagudin launched a Basic Life Support (BLS) Training Program as part of the Children’s Month Celebration. The activity was implemented by the MDRRMO Tagudin under the leadership of Engr. Michael N. Padayao, Local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Officer.
Held at the Regional Evacuation Center of Tagudin, the training gathered Grade 10 and selected Grade 11 students for a rare opportunity to learn essential lifesaving skills from experienced responders.

The morning session featured lectures by Mr. Bryan Lazaga and Mr. Mike Legaspina, who discussed First Aid Basics, Choking Management, Seizure Response, Patient Carrying, and Bandaging Techniques. Students actively participated in demonstrations, strengthening both their understanding and practical skills.
A major highlight was the Scenario-Based CPR Practice led by Mr. Resty Lemi, where students practiced proper chest compressions and resuscitation techniques using manikins. His hands-on approach emphasized that CPR is both a vital medical skill and an act of responsibility.
To reinforce the morning’s lessons, an extensive simulation activity was held in the afternoon within the Laboratory High School grounds. Students were grouped and placed in mock emergency scenarios where they applied the concepts and skills discussed earlier:
These dynamic scenarios challenged students to think quickly, collaborate effectively, and handle pressure—mirroring the unpredictability of actual emergencies.

The success of the training demonstrates the unwavering commitment of the MSWDO and MDRRMO Tagudin, to strengthen disaster readiness and emergency responsiveness among the youth. By equipping students with lifesaving skills, the program empowers them to become active contributors to community safety.
As the day concluded, students expressed not only newfound knowledge but also a sense of responsibility and readiness to act in times of crisis. The training served as a reminder that preparedness is everyone’s duty—and that even the youth play a vital role in building a resilient community.

LOOK | The FFP-FHAP officers are making the GULAYAN bloom with effort and laughter! 🌱 Every seed we plant grows with teamwork, dedication, and a bit of kulit on the side. From planting to watering, every shovel, every move, shows our hard work and unity. Kahit araw-araw ang init, tuloy ang sipag, kasi sa FFP, walang reklamo, puro trabaho (may konting chismisan pa)! 🗣️

🌞 Sa bawat dilig at halakhak, unti-unting lumalago ang aming pagkakaisa. Sabi nga nila, “Kapag may tanim, may aanihin, pero sa FFP, may tawanan pa!” 😜👆
