The College of Library and Information Studies (CLIS) of Tagoloan Community College is pleased to conduct its Outreach Program 2026 on August 13, 2026, at Malaiba, Casinglot, Tagoloan, Misamis Oriental, with the theme โ€œInformation for Growth, Literacy for Life: Serving Our Communityโ€™s Children.โ€

We would also like to thank the Barangay Council of Casinglot, led by Capt. Mario Bolanio, and Deputy Speaker Congressman Bambi Emano for allowing the BLIS students to use their vehicles for transportation.

The College of Library and Information Studies officially welcomed the academic year 2026-2027 through its department orientation held on August 04, 2026, at the TCC Covered Court with the theme:

"Embarking on Excellence: Building a Community of Learning and Opportunity"

This event emphasized the importance of togetherness, leadership, teamwork, and student involvement in the BLIS community.

The student mayors, Student Body Organization (SBO), Society of Library and Information Specialists (SLIS), and the BLIS Catalyst Media team brought the house to life with their dance and singing numbers. They entertained everyone while highlighting student engagement and leadership to kick off the new academic year.

Moreover, it was an absolute pleasure listening to the messages, speeches, and reminders from the Registrar, Dean of Student Affairs, Supreme Student Council (SSC) President, TCC Quill Editor-in-Chief, our very own College Dean, faculty members, Guidance Counselor, and School Nurse. All of their inspiring messages and words of wisdom will definitely resonate with every BLIS student as they navigate through this new academic year full of opportunities, challenges, and growth.

The BLIS orientation was a huge success, thanks to the hard work and dedication of the faculty, staff, student leaders, and partners. It has always been a goal to make sure that every student has a complete and well-rounded college experience. This event is just one of the many ways to ensure they are not only focused on their studies, but also involved in activities that promote service, leadership, and friendship.

The BLIS community acknowledges and appreciates the time, effort, and support of everyone who made the event possible. The messages from the faculty and staff serve as an inspiration to all BLIS students, reminding them to be the best versions of themselves as they pursue their careers in library and information studies.
