SPO | Seminar-Workshop on Active Threat and Attack Response

The SPO has participated in an seminar-workshop on active threat and attack response where they have learned about safety, preparation, self-protection awareness, and psychological signs.

The Organizations and the College of Criminology has also learned ways to be able to detect warning signs, dangerous situations or people, how to be aware of our surroundings, and how to react in such situations.

An empowering experience that reminds us that being aware, prepared, and responsible can make a huge difference in having a safe community. 💙

As part of the 𝐍𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐀𝐋 𝐒𝐔𝐈𝐂𝐈𝐃𝐄 𝐏𝐑𝐄𝐕𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍 𝐌𝐎𝐍𝐓𝐇 𝐂𝐀𝐌𝐏𝐀𝐈𝐆𝐍, the Tagoloan Community College – Student Peer Organization continued its room-to-room campaign by visiting 5 classrooms from different departments and sharing a short message on mental health and su***de prevention. The activity aimed to raise awareness and encourage students to speak openly, listen with understanding, and seek help when needed.

DAY 1 National Su***de Prevention Month | Room-to-Room Campaign 🌱🎗

Awareness, empathy, and the courage to start a conversation are key to prevention.

As part of the National Su***de Prevention Month campaign, the Tagoloan Community College – Students Peer Organization conducted a room-to-room campaign across 12 classrooms, reaching students from the College of Criminology, College of Arts and Sciences, College of Midwifery, and College of Business Administration.

The campaign aimed to spread awareness about mental health, encourage open conversations, and remind everyone that reaching out, listening, and lending a hand can make a meaningful difference.

The Student Peer Organization successfully conducted a planning meeting on September 4, 2026, in preparation for the observance of National Su***de Prevention Month. The meeting focused on discussing and organizing different su***de prevention activities, including awareness campaigns, peer-support initiatives, and information dissemination to help promote understanding and encourage students to seek help when needed.

The meeting also provided an opportunity for members to share ideas, assign responsibilities, and plan the necessary preparations for the upcoming activities. Through this effort, the SPO continues to strengthen its su***de prevention advocacy and help create a community where everyone feels heard, supported, and reminded that no one has to face their struggles alone.
