Tagoloan Candles made its first-ever exposure at the 35th Mindanao Business Conference, held on August 11–13, 2026, at Limketkai Atrium, Cagayan de Oro City—proudly showcasing the creativity, craftsmanship, and local talent of Tagoloan.

Our heartfelt gratitude to SPI Power Inc. for the wonderful opportunity to bring LGU Tagoloan and LGU Villanueva to this prestigious event and to showcase our local products to a wider Mindanao audience.

Tagoloan proudly featured its recently highlighted eco-plastic products and our newest local pride—Tagoloan Candles, our very own handcrafted candles inspired by the rich cultural and religious heritage of our town.

Under the leadership of Municipal Mayor Atty. Nadya B. Emano-Elipe, LGU Tagoloan continues to support and develop the local candle industry—not only to create opportunities for our MSMEs and local entrepreneurs, but also to pay tribute to the town’s beloved patron saint, Nuestra Señora de la Candelaria.

This first exposure of Tagoloan Candles is more than just an exhibit. It is a step toward building a stronger local industry, empowering our MSMEs, and sharing the unique products and stories of Tagoloan with a bigger audience.

A Bright New Beginning for Tagoloan's Candle Industry! 🕯️🎉

A significant milestone has been achieved as Tagoloan's very first officially organized association of candlemakers—the Cantago Candle Makers Association—formally took its place in the community.

The newly elected officers proudly took their oath before Atty. Nadya B. Emano-Elipe during the Municipal Flag Raising Ceremony held at the Tagoloan Dome on August 3, 2026.

This marks the beginning of a stronger and more united community of local candlemakers, working hand in hand with the LGU in realizing its vision of developing the candle industry and establishing Tagoloan as the hub for candle innovation and craftsmanship.

Congratulations to the officers and members of the Cantago Candle Makers Association! May your passion continue to ignite opportunities, empower local artisans, and inspire future generations. Together, let's keep the light of innovation, unity, and progress burning brightly for Tagoloan. 🕯️✨

A meaningful milestone for the Candlemakers of Tagoloan!

A significant step has been taken in strengthening our local candlemaking industry with the official organization of the Candlemakers of Tagoloan.

LGU Tagoloan headed by Mayor Atty. Nadya B. Emano-Elipe thru the Municipal Economic Enterprise Development Office (MEEDO) and Tagoloan Negosyo Center headed by Maristel Emano initiated in organizing the said group in order to inspire more aspiring entrepreneurs, foster collaboration among local creatives, and continue to ignite opportunities for the growth of Tagoloan's candlemaking industry.

Congratulations to our newly elected first set of officers with its first president Barangay Councilor Cyrelle Bandivas Bacala. The newly elected officers are composed of individuals from the pioneering batch of candlemakers and wannabes who took the first few candlemaking trainings and proudly participated twice in the Cantago Festival Candlemaking Contest.

Their dedication, perseverance, and passion for the craft have earned them the opportunity to lead this organization as it begins its journey. May this group keep the flame of creativity, unity, and entrepreneurship burning bright for Tagoloan. 🕯️✨

📢 FINANCIAL FORUM

The Local Government Unit of Tagoloa, Misamis Oriental headed by Mayor Atty. Nadya B. Emano- Elipe through the Tagoloan Negosyo Center, successfully conducted a 𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝘂𝗺 last May 26, 2026 at the Barangay Poblacion Covered Court.

The activity aimed to empower local entrepreneurs, aspiring business owners, and members of the community by providing valuable knowledge on financial literacy, business financing opportunities, and accessible loan programs that can help improve lives and livelihood, strengthen and sustain business activity.

The financial opportunities presented were not limited to business loans alone, it also included personal loans and other financing services that may cater to the varying needs of the community. Attendees were also able to maximize the opportunity to directly inquire about existing accounts, opening new accounts, and other banking and financing services offered by the participating institutions.

The LGU also extends its sincere gratitude to our invited guest speakers and partner institutions for sharing their expertise and programs with the community:

While ensuring that economic opportunities and financial services become more accessible and inclusive for every Tagoloanon, they also emphasized the importance of financial discipline and accountability in maintaining trust and sustaining access to financial assistance programs.

Following the proper forum, the attendees were given the opportunity to visit the respective tables of participating financing institutions, where they were warmly accommodated and assisted by their personnel regarding loan services, account inquiries, and other financial concerns.
