📚✨ Celebrating the Joy of Reading at Kiasar Integrated School! ✨📚
Kiasar Integrated School successfully celebrated the 2025 Pambansang Buwan ng Pagbasa from November 3 to 28, 2025, with the theme “Tulay ang Pagbasa sa Bukas na Puno ng Pag-asa.” The month-long celebration highlighted the importance of reading as a bridge to knowledge, creativity, and lifelong learning.
Learners from Kindergarten to Grade 10 actively participated in exciting literacy activities such as the Book Buddy Program, where older students guided their younger peers in read-aloud sessions, and the Reading Pantry, a mini-library corner that gave learners access to a variety of books and allowed them to reflect on their readings through Reading Logs.
The Book Talk / DEAR sessions encouraged students to share their insights and opinions about the books they explored, enhancing comprehension and oral expression. In the Classroom Level Read-A-Thon, learners confidently retold stories and interpreted texts, showcasing their expressive reading skills. Creative minds shone through the Poster Making Activity, where students illustrated the value of reading and promoted their favorite books.
A highlight of the celebration was the Reading Ambassador Program, where parents, teachers, and community partners inspired learners by reading stories, sharing personal reading experiences, and advocating for a culture of literacy. Other supporting activities, including storytelling sessions, reflections, and reading games, further enriched students’ reading experiences.
Through this celebration, Kiasar Integrated School strengthened its reading culture, fostered collaboration among teachers, learners, and stakeholders, and inspired everyone to embrace reading as a source of knowledge and hope.
