Gamut NHS basketball athletes showed an excellent performance at the Provincial Athletic Meet 2026, bringing home Gold 🥇 in Secondary Girls 5x5 and Bronze 🥉 in Secondary Boys 3x3.

The entire GNHS Family is in deep sorrow over the passing of our beloved Nurse, Ma'am Justice Joyce Cabrera Mordeno.

Her warmth, kindness, dedication, and beautiful presence will forever remain in the hearts of everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Her life touched many, and her memory will continue to inspire us.

May the Lord welcome her into His loving embrace and grant her eternal rest and everlasting peace. 🕊️✝️

𝐒𝐏𝐓𝐀 𝐃𝐀𝐘 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 | 𝐆𝐀𝐌𝐔𝐓 𝐍𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐀𝐋 𝐇𝐈𝐆𝐇 𝐒𝐂𝐇𝐎𝐎𝐋

A day of faith, fun, service, and togetherness—that is how we remember SPTA Day 2026 at Gamut National High School.

The celebration started with an Opening Parade, followed by Praise and Worship and Bible Preaching, parlor games, a Medical Mission, and free services such as haircut, manicure and pedicure, and massage. In the afternoon, everyone enjoyed the Coronation Rites, Singing Contest, and Raffle Bonanza.

Behind this successful celebration was the good teamwork and coordination of our School Principal, Ma’am Ellen O. Eliot, and SPTA President, Mrs. Julie D. Suazo, together with the teachers, SPTA officers, parents, and stakeholders.

Our sincere thanks to the RHU–Tago for the medical mission, the LGU of Tago, our generous stakeholders and sponsors, and all the parents, teachers, learners, and volunteers who shared their time, effort, and resources.

SPTA Day 2026 showed us once again that when we work together, we can make simple plans into meaningful memories for our school community.

𝗞𝗻𝗼𝘄𝗹𝗲𝗱𝗴𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿. 𝗞𝗻𝗼𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗼 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝗮𝗻 𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆? 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗻 𝗯𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿.

The Red Cross Youth (RCY) of Gamut National High School, together with 𝗠𝗮’𝗮𝗺 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗾𝘂𝗲 𝗦. 𝗗𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗴𝗮𝗻, participated in the 𝗕𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗰 𝗟𝗶𝗳𝗲 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗔𝗶𝗱 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗠𝗗𝗥𝗥𝗠𝗢 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗹, held at Annex Building, Purisima, Tago, Surigao del Sur, on September 9–11, 2026.

The training strengthened their skills in first aid, basic life support, and emergency response, equipping them to respond with confidence and readiness when emergencies happen—because being prepared can make all the difference.

𝗜𝗡𝗦𝗘𝗧 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 | 𝗦𝗣𝗘𝗖𝗜𝗔𝗟 𝗡𝗘𝗘𝗗𝗦 𝗘𝗗𝗨𝗖𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡: 𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗧𝗘𝗡𝗧 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗣𝗘𝗗𝗔𝗚𝗢𝗚𝗬
September 9–10, 2026

Continuing its commitment to meaningful professional development and inclusive education, Gamut National High School conducted its 𝗜𝗻-𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 (𝗜𝗡𝗦𝗘𝗧) 𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗡𝗲𝗲𝗱𝘀 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗣𝗲𝗱𝗮𝗴𝗼𝗴𝘆 on September 9–10, 2026.

The two-day training provided our teachers with valuable opportunities to strengthen their understanding of learners with diverse needs and to reflect on teaching practices that promote a more inclusive and supportive learning environment.

For Session 1, we sincerely thank 𝗠𝗮’𝗮𝗺 𝗜𝘃𝘆 𝗩𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲 𝗝𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝗧. 𝗔𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗼, SNED Teacher of Gamut Central Elementary School, for sharing her expertise on the four learning difficulties of learners. Her discussion helped our teachers better understand the characteristics and needs of learners who may experience difficulties in learning, as well as the importance of appropriate support, patience, and responsive classroom strategies.

For Sessions 2 and 3, our heartfelt appreciation goes to Ma’am Emelda G. Crombie, Principal I of Purisima National High School, for enriching the training with her discussion on Emotional and Behavioral Disorders. Her session highlighted the importance of looking beyond behavior, understanding the factors that may affect learners’ emotions and actions, and responding with appropriate, compassionate, and supportive interventions.

More than concepts and strategies, the discussions reminded us that inclusive education begins with understanding. Every learner comes to school with different experiences, strengths, challenges, and ways of learning. As teachers, it is our responsibility to recognize these differences and create opportunities for every learner to feel understood, supported, and valued.

This INSET is another step in strengthening our practice—not only to become more knowledgeable educators, but also to become more responsive, patient, and compassionate teachers.

When we understand our learners better, we teach better. And when we teach with inclusion in mind, we help create a school where every learner has a place and an opportunity to succeed. 💚
