July 24, 2025 | Celebrating Inclusion, Empowering Every Ability!
Our SNED learners of Gamut Central Elementary School, together with their SNED Adviser, Ivy Valerie Jean T. Anino, were honored to participate in the 48th National Disability Rights Week celebration—a meaningful gathering that reminds us that every person deserves equal opportunities, respect, and a community where everyone belongs.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Municipality of Tago for inviting us to be part of this inspiring celebration. Our sincere appreciation goes to Hon. Jelio Val C. Laurente, Municipal Mayor; MSWDO Ethel R. Pacon; and PDAO Rizza O. Dagaang for your unwavering dedication to championing the rights, welfare, and inclusion of persons with disabilities.
A heartfelt thank you to our resource speaker, Mr. Anthony D. Plaza, for his enlightening discussion on the Salient Features of Republic Act No. 10754. Your valuable insights deepened our understanding of the rights, privileges, and benefits of persons with disabilities and inspired us to become stronger advocates for an inclusive and accessible society.
We also extend our sincere appreciation to Election Officer Flordephil Botona for sharing valuable information on the rights of every person with disability during elections. Your discussion emphasized the importance of accessible, inclusive, and empowered participation in the electoral process, reminding everyone that every vote matters and every voice deserves to be heard.
To our amazing parents, thank you for taking the time to join this meaningful celebration. Your enthusiasm, support, and active participation truly made the day more memorable. Together, we continue to prove that when families, schools, and communities work hand in hand, we can create a brighter and more inclusive future for every child.
Let us continue to celebrate diversity, promote inclusion, and uphold the rights of every individual—not just this week, but every day.
Happy 48th National Disability Rights Week!
