The Department of Education (DepEd), through the External Partnerships Service-International Cooperation Office (EPS-ICO), invites everyone to the International Day of Education 2024 Forum, this January 24, 2024.

Focusing on the theme “Education in the Transformative Times: Making Early Grade Learning Contribute to Lasting Peace,” the IDE 2024 Forum is a call for action to bring individuals, civil society, and policymakers to take solid steps towards ensuring that primary and secondary education is given to children, as well as improving youth engagement in education.

Governor Alexander T. Pimentel, with utmost consideration, has enacted Executive Order No. 40, s. 2023, Declaring the Cancellation of all Christmas Parties for Barangay, Municipality, City, and Provincial Local Government Units in the Province of Surigao del Sur.

This decisive action is in response to the recent seismic event—a 7.4 magnitude earthquake that struck our province on December 2, 2023—coupled with ongoing aftershocks.
