CNHS's HISTORY
In the late 1980’s, Kapitan Melicio Bataller, Sr. envisioned a public secondary school that would provide quality standard of education to the young minds in the rapidly growing barangay of Cabibihan. This vision was realized in 2011 when his grandson Mr. Leopoldo B. Mendoza, then OIC of Cabibihan Elementary School, worked for the establishment of the said school. This was made possible when Mr. and Mrs. Epifanio Mendoza donated a one-hectare parcel of land situated in the boundaries of Cabibihan and its neighboring Barangay Malbog. His uncle, Kapitan Rolando R. Bataller, and the Sangguniang Barangay of Cabibihan, Malbog, Del Rosario, San Luis I and Triumpo assisted him in this undertaking. They supported the opening of the school overwhelmingly.
Cabibihan National High School formally opened in June 13, 2011 and was fully recognized by the Department of Education in June 27 of the same year. It had 100 first students composed of graduates from Cabibihan Elementary School and its neighboring barrio schools, Out-of-School Youths, and adults who expressed their willingness to go back to formal schooling. The barangay hall was their temporary classroom.
Mr. Neil Victor A. Villenas and Mrs. Ma. Teresa Maiwat-Alba were the first teachers. Ms. Clarissa A. Masajo, Mrs. Melody Guico-Venerayan and Mr. Arnel B. Peña became part of CNHS from July 2011 until March 2012. In S.Y. 2012-2013 Mrs. Remedios C. Lamatao served as Locally Funded Teacher. They were under the leadership of Mr. Leopoldo Bataller Mendoza, the founder and the first school head of CNHS.
The following were the first Regular/Permanent Teachers of CNHS:
Name Date of Appointment
Leopoldo B. Mendoza TCHR1-271077-2012 August 6, 2012
Neil Victor A. Villenas TCHR1-271078-2012 August 6, 2012
Cecile I. Lalas TCHR1-271079-2012 August 13, 2012
At present, CNHS enrolment is rapidly increasing. The institution, together with its stakeholders, is working hand and hand to ensure that quality education is given to its clienteles. It stands to its commitment that it shall be the instrument of community development by producing competent, productive and responsible graduates who are ready for the world.

CNHS's SCHOOL LOGO

The laurel leaves inside the circle symbolize honor and achievement. The torch beacons light for enlightenment, knowledge and wisdom. The open book stands for education and learning. 2011 indicates the school’s founding year.
The circular plate where the name of the school is engraved is for unity and solidarity of the institution in realizing its vision and mission while the open shell of the fresh water clam, the legendary etymology of the word Cabibihan, is a symbol of nurturing young minds. It also stands for strength, perseverance, courage and determination.
