๐ช๐, ๐ง๐๐ ๐จ๐ก๐๐๐ฅ๐ฆ๐๐๐ก๐๐ ๐ข๐๐๐๐๐๐ฅ๐ฆ ๐ข๐ ๐ง๐๐ ๐ง๐๐๐๐๐ช๐๐ฌ๐๐ก ๐ฃ๐ฅ๐๐ฉ๐๐ง๐ ๐ฆ๐๐๐ข๐ข๐ ๐๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ข๐๐๐๐ง๐๐ข๐ก (๐ง๐ฃ๐ฆ๐), representing the four (4) member schools, hereby issue this Joint Statement to set the record straight and clarify the events that transpired regarding the TPSA Selection and the subsequent actions of the Montessori of the Infant Jesus (MIJ).
On July 4, 2026, the TPSA Selection was held at Our Lady of Lourdes Academy as agreed upon by all TPSA Officers under the leadership of President Mr. Christian Rojo. This selection was necessitated by the information received by Mr. Rojo during a meeting regarding the upcoming Palarong Pambayan in Tagkawayan. It was learned that public schools would have individual entries to the Palarong Pambayan, prompting the suggestion that private schools should similarly be allowed individual entries. However, the suggestion was not approved, thus the TPSA Officers collectively decided to hold a TPSA Selection instead. This decision was unanimously approved by all Officers.
During the TPSA Selection on July 4, 2026, President Mr. Christian Rojo received and shared in the Officers' Group Chat a screenshot of a conversation with Secretary B**g Tadique, Administrator of Montessori of the Infant Jesus and Secretary of the Sangguniang Bayan of Tagkawayan. The screenshot clearly showed that Secretary Tadique had unilaterally communicated that private schools would be allowed individual entries to the Palarong Pambayan, allegedly with the approval of the Private School District Supervisors.
We, the TPSA Officers, vehemently condemn this act as it was done:
- ๐ช๐๐ง๐๐ข๐จ๐ง the knowledge, consent, or authorization of the TPSA Officers;
- ๐ช๐๐ง๐๐ข๐จ๐ง consultation with the Association;
- ๐ช๐๐ง๐๐ข๐จ๐ง prior notice to any of the Officers.
This action was taken by Secretary Tadique in his personal capacity, without regard for the collective decision-making process of the TPSA.
A meeting was called by President Mr. Christian Rojo after the TPSA Selection. The TPSA Officers present at that time decided to convene again on Monday, July 6, 2026, at MIJ.
During the July 6, 2026, meeting held at MIJ, with a quorum present:
1. ๐ฃ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐๐ถ๐ฑ๐ฒ๐ป๐ ๐ ๐ฟ. ๐๐ต๐ฟ๐ถ๐๐๐ถ๐ฎ๐ป ๐ฅ๐ผ๐ท๐ผ explained the situation and informed the Officers that MIJ would be going solo for the Palarong Pambayan and would no longer participate with TPSA.
2. President Rojo stated that this was the decision of Secretary B**g Tadique and, since it was an internal decision of MIJ, the TPSA Officers did not object.
3. ๐ง๐ต๐ฒ ๐ง๐ฃ๐ฆ๐ ๐ข๐ณ๐ณ๐ถ๐ฐ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ ๐ฑ๐ฒ๐ฐ๐ถ๐ฑ๐ฒ๐ฑ ๐๐ผ ๐ฒ๐น๐ฒ๐ฐ๐ ๐ป๐ฒ๐ ๐ผ๐ณ๐ณ๐ถ๐ฐ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐, as MIJ had effectively withdrawn from the Association.
After the TPSA Officers' meeting, the leadership proceeded to the office of the Public Schools District Supervisor (PSDS) to report the matter and ensure there would be no misunderstanding regarding the Palarong Pambayan. ๐ง๐ต๐ฒ ๐ฃ๐ฆ๐๐ฆ ๐ด๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ฐ๐ถ๐ผ๐๐๐น๐ ๐ฎ๐ฐ๐ฐ๐ฒ๐ฝ๐๐ฒ๐ฑ ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐ฎ๐ฐ๐ธ๐ป๐ผ๐๐น๐ฒ๐ฑ๐ด๐ฒ๐ฑ ๐๐ต๐ฒ ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ฝ๐ผ๐ฟ๐.
๐ช๐, ๐ง๐๐ ๐ง๐ฃ๐ฆ๐ ๐ข๐๐๐๐๐๐ฅ๐ฆ, ๐ช๐๐ฆ๐ ๐ง๐ข ๐๐๐๐ฅ๐๐๐ฌ ๐ง๐๐ ๐๐ข๐๐๐ข๐ช๐๐ก๐:
1. ๐ง๐ต๐ฒ ๐ง๐ฃ๐ฆ๐ ๐ฑ๐ถ๐ฑ ๐ป๐ผ๐ "๐ธ๐ถ๐ฐ๐ธ ๐ผ๐๐" ๐ ๐๐. It was MIJ, through Secretary B**g Tadique's unilateral decision, that chose to withdraw from the Association and go solo. The TPSA Officers merely acknowledged and respected MIJ's decision.
2. ๐ง๐ต๐ฒ ๐ฑ๐ฒ๐ฐ๐ถ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป ๐๐ผ ๐ต๐ผ๐น๐ฑ ๐ป๐ฒ๐ ๐ฒ๐น๐ฒ๐ฐ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป๐ was a natural consequence of MIJ's withdrawal. The Association must continue its operations with the remaining member schools.
3. ๐ฆ๐ฒ๐ฐ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ ๐๐ผ๐ป๐ด ๐ง๐ฎ๐ฑ๐ถ๐พ๐๐ฒ ๐ฑ๐ถ๐ฑ ๐ก๐ข๐ง ๐๐ฝ๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ธ "๐ณ๐ผ๐ฟ ๐๐ต๐ฒ ๐ฃ๐ฟ๐ถ๐๐ฎ๐๐ฒ ๐ฆ๐ฐ๐ต๐ผ๐ผ๐น๐." He acted alone, without consultation, without authority, and without the knowledge of the TPSA Officers. His actions do not represent the collective voice of the TPSA nor its member schools.
4. ๐ง๐ต๐ฒ ๐ง๐ฃ๐ฆ๐ ๐ข๐ณ๐ณ๐ถ๐ฐ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ ๐๐ฒ๐ป๐ ๐๐ผ ๐๐ต๐ฒ ๐ฃ๐ฆ๐๐ฆ precisely to prevent any misunderstanding and to clarify the situation, demonstrating our commitment to transparency and proper coordination.
5. ๐ง๐ต๐ฒ ๐ง๐ฃ๐ฆ๐ ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐บ๐ฎ๐ถ๐ป๐ ๐ฐ๐ผ๐บ๐บ๐ถ๐๐๐ฒ๐ฑ ๐๐ผ ๐๐ป๐ถ๐๐ ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐ฐ๐ผ๐ผ๐ฝ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป among its member schools, respecting the autonomy of each institution while upholding the collective decisions of the Association.
The TPSA Officers stand by the decisions made through proper process and consultation. We regret that Secretary B**g Tadique chose to take unilateral action and has now publicly portrayed the situation as if the TPSA wronged MIJ.
๐๐ฒ๐ ๐ถ๐ ๐ฏ๐ฒ ๐ธ๐ป๐ผ๐๐ป:
- The TPSA did not expel MIJ.
- The TPSA respects the decision of MIJ to go solo.
- The TPSA will continue to function with its remaining member schools.
- The TPSA upholds transparency, consultation, and collective decision-making.
We call on all parties to refrain from spreading misinformation and to instead focus on the true spirit of cooperation and sportsmanship that the Palarong Pambayan represents.
