Nurturing Minds and Growing Futures: The San Isidro Elementary School Feeding Orientation
San Isidro Elementary School recently demonstrated its deep commitment to student health and academic success by hosting a comprehensive School-Based Feeding Orientation at the SIES Covered Court. Led by Principal I Mrs. Liezel A. Dillo and School-Based Feeding Program (SBFP) Focal Person Mr. Arvin J. Paylandy, the gathering brought together a dedicated community of teachers and parents of beneficiaries ranging from Kindergarten to Grade 6.
The orientation served as a vital platform to discuss the essential role of proper nutrition in enhancing students' learning capacities and overall well-being. During the session, clear guidelines regarding the program's structure were outlined for the attendees. Primary beneficiaries of the initiative are specifically designated for learners identified as severely wasted and wasted, while secondary beneficiaries focus on students facing nutritional challenges such as stunted and severely stunted growth. To combat these concerns, eligible pupils are set to receive wholesome nutritious food products alongside a daily milk component to boost their physical growth and immune systems.
A key highlight of the successful gathering was the active participation of the parents, who demonstrated their full support by successfully signing parental consent forms during the event. This crucial step formalizes the collaborative partnership between the families and the institution. With distribution officially scheduled to begin on August 10, 2026, the school community stands united in ensuring that every child is well-nourished, healthy, and fully equipped to thrive in their academic journey.
