The North Eastern Mindanao State University (NEMSU)–Tagbina successfully conducted its Gender and Development (GAD) Culmination Program on March 31, 2026, marking the meaningful conclusion of the Women’s Month Celebration. The activity was actively participated in by faculty and staff, demonstrating the institution’s continued commitment to gender equality and inclusive development.

The program was spearheaded by the GAD Office under the leadership of the GAD Coordinator, DB-June G. Amolata, RGC, RPm. A key highlight of the activity was a seminar that enriched participants through insightful discussions on the topics: (1) Building Emotional Intelligence for Resilient Leadership and (2) Life Reset: Reinventing Yourself After Setbacks.

The sessions were facilitated by the esteemed resource speaker, Ms. Ginalyn P. Estose, RGC, Assistant Professor II of NEMSU-Bislig and Guidance Counselor of the same institution, whose expertise and experience greatly contributed to the success of the program.

This culmination activity reflects NEMSU-Tagbina’s dedication to fostering empowered individuals and resilient leaders, anchored on the principles of Gender and Development.

The NEMSU–Tagbina proudly conducted its Gender and Development (GAD) Immersion Activity at Brgy. Sta. Maria, Tagbina, Surigao del Sur on March 30, 2026—one of the highlight activities in celebration of Women’s Month 2026.

Spearheaded by the GAD Coordinator, DB-June G. Amolata, RGC, RPm, in collaboration with Human Resource Officer Mr. Erwin H. Pajelangco, RPm, and Dr. Venus C. Lumapac, CTE GAD Coordinator, together with our support and technical staff, Ms. Rubelyn Aliño Verano, the activity aimed to empower community members through meaningful discussions and psychosocial support initiatives.

Key topics delivered included: (1) Breaking the Silence: Safe Sharing and Support Circles, (2) Healing from Trauma and Emotional Pain, and (3) Rebuilding Self-Worth and Confidence. These sessions provided a safe and nurturing space for participants to express themselves, gain insights, and strengthen their emotional well-being.

We extend our sincere gratitude to Brgy. Sta. Maria, under the leadership of Hon. Edgardo Lago, for their warm accommodation and active participation. Likewise, we thank MSWD Head Ma’am Ivy Doreen Juan, RSW, for her invaluable assistance in the successful conduct of this activity.

NEMSU-Tagbina marked the culmination of National Women's Month 2025 with a two-day celebration at Anrana Beach Resort, Cateel, Davao Oriental on March 24-25, 2025. This event was made possible through the joint efforts of the Office of Gender and Development, Guidance Office, and Human Resource Office, as well as the support and participation of all the employees.

One of the highlights of the program is the giving of awards and recognition to the women employees of their remarkable achievements and performance in the workplace.

We extend our deepest gratitude to Sir Alfredo Trimidal, our esteemed Resource Speaker, for sharing his expertise on Empowerment, Protection, Rights, and Benefits.
