With the theme “Clean Seas Against the Climate Crisis: Tayo ang Solusyon”, BISU United Network for Green Advocacy (BUNGA) actively participated in the 40th International Coastal Clean-Up held today, September 20, 2025, along Kalipayan Beach, Panglao, Bohol. This meaningful activity was made possible in partnership with the Future Technologists of the Philippines (FTP) of Bohol Island State University-Main Campus and BE Grand Resort Bohol located at Brgy. Danao, Panglao, Bohol.

International Coastal Cleanup Day was established in 1986 by the Ocean Conservancy, the world’s largest organization dedicated to protecting the ocean and raising awareness on marine conservation.

Participants from BUNGA gathered early in the morning ready to take action in protecting marine ecosystem, responding to climate change, and safeguarding the ocean. It was simply beyond picking up trash – it was a commitment to environmental service, ensuring a cleaner and healthier oceans for future generations.

This year’s International Coastal Cleanup Day is a reminder that every piece of trash collected is a pathway for restoring balance. 🌱
