As stipulated in CMO No. 9, series of 2023, the COPC is a recognition granted to a degree program offered by an SUC/LUC that is fully compliant with the policies, standards, and guidelines of CHED and aligned with current educational reforms, including the K to 12 Basic Education Curriculum, the New General Education Curriculum, Outcomes-Based Education (OBE), the Philippine Qualifications Framework (PQF), and other applicable international and professional standards.

More than just a certification, the COPC reflects the 𝑪𝒐𝒎𝒑𝒆𝒕𝒆𝒏𝒄𝒆 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑹𝒆𝒂𝒅𝒊𝒏𝒆𝒔𝒔 of the institution to offer quality education, its commitment to students, and the 𝑷𝒓𝒐𝒎𝒊𝒔𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑭𝒖𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒆 that awaits the academic stakeholders of the program through greater opportunities, partnerships, and professional growth.
