Bohol Island State UniversityโMain Campus (BISU-MC) hosted a successful three-day training workshop titled โ๐ฆ๐ฝ๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ฎ๐น ๐๐ป๐ฎ๐น๐๐๐ถ๐ ๐ณ๐ผ๐ฟ ๐ฅ๐ฒ๐ป๐ฒ๐๐ฎ๐ฏ๐น๐ฒ ๐๐ป๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ด๐: ๐ ๐ฃ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ฐ๐๐ถ๐ฐ๐ฎ๐น ๐ค๐๐๐ฆ ๐ช๐ผ๐ฟ๐ธ๐๐ต๐ผ๐ฝโ on October 4, October 18, and November 15, 2025. The event, part of Project LAMDAGI, drew participants from diverse sectors, including local utilities, government agencies, private companies, students, and faculty.
The workshop commenced with an opening address by Dr. Jessie Nigparanon, the project leader, emphasizing the importance of enhancing research and technical skills in geospatial analysis. Participants engaged in lectures and hands-on exercises led by experts, including Engr. Dave Jimino Pojadas and Engr. Ernest Noel Socong, the practical applications of QGIS in renewable energy planning and other fields. The event fostered an environment of collaboration and learning, reflecting the university's commitment to regional development through green technologies.
Project LAMDAGI is a collaborative effort between the Bohol Island State University, the , Institute of Integrated Electrical Engineers - Bohol Chapter , the College of Technology, and the College of Engineering, Architecture, and Industrial Design.

This program aims to equip participants with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in the renewable energy sector.
This dayโs sessions combined theory and practiceโensuring participants are not just familiar with the concepts but also confident in applying them in real-world contexts. By navigating both analytical tools like HelioScope and collaborative peer review, trainees build a robust foundation for professional solar PV design and implementation.

๐ค MOA Signing for Community Development in Barangay Cambuac Sur! ๐กโจ
On June 4, 2025, Bohol Island State University โ Main Campus (BISU-MC) officially signed a Memorandum of Agreement with Barangay Cambuac Sur, Sikatuna, Bohol, marking the launch of two key extension initiatives focused on infrastructure development and womenโs empowerment.
Led by Dr. Ruel Pangiligan, the Drafting Technology Department will provide architectural design plans for the barangayโs proposed infrastructure projects, including multi-purpose halls, and community centersโensuring structurally sound, safe, and sustainable community facilities.
Meanwhile, under the leadership of Mrs. Genelina G. Alfarero, the Food Technology Department will implement Project FLARE (Food Livelihood Advancement for Resilient Empowered Women) in partnership with the Barangay Cambuac Sur Womenโs Association. This initiative aims to equip women with skills in food processing, safety, packaging, and entrepreneurshipโfostering sustainable livelihood opportunities.
The MOA signing reflects a shared commitment to holistic community development, aligning academic expertise with local needs for a stronger, more resilient Barangay Cambuac Sur. ๐ฑ๐ก๐ฉโ๐ณ๐

๐ Day 2 of Motor Control Training: Building Skills and Confidence! ๐
On the second day of training, Dr. Ribomapil Nacorda kicked off the morning session by emphasizing the importance of proper standard sizing for motor control components to ensure safety and efficiency. In the afternoon, Dr. Lloyd Tejano delivered an engaging discussion on Forward-Reverse Motor Control Systems, explaining how motor direction is controlled and the critical role of interlocks to prevent hazards. After the theory, trainees put their knowledge into practice by performing forward-reverse motor control operations on the training stations. This combination of expert instruction and hands-on experience empowered participants with the skills and confidence needed to design, operate, and troubleshoot motor control circuits effectively. โ๏ธ๐ก

๐ Kicking Off Project LAMDAGI with Success! โ๏ธโจ
On May 24, 2025, Bohol Island State University โ Main Campus launched the first session of Project LAMDAGI at the Electrical Technology Building, in partnership with IIEE Bohol Chapter. The whole-day training focused on Motor Control Systems, led by Mr. Jeff Madera and Mr. Junel Tagud.
In the morning, participants gained foundational knowledge on motor control components and safety standards, while the afternoon was dedicated to hands-on application. Trainees successfully performed the Start-Stop Motor Control Operation, applying their newly acquired skills in wiring and circuit testing. ๐ก๐จโ๐ง๐ฉโ๐ง
With 20 IIEE members actively engaged, the session marked a strong start to the series, empowering local electrical practitioners through industry-relevant and practical learning.
