Martial Law in the Philippines was a defining period in our history. It was a time marked by the suspension of civil liberties, political repression, arrests, censorship, and human rights violations.

Remembering this chapter is not about reopening old divisionsโ€”it is about understanding what happened, listening to the stories of those who lived through it, and recognizing the importance of protecting truth, freedom, and human rights.

History must be remembered, lessons must be learned, and the rights of every Filipino must never be taken for granted.
