Today marks the first day of classes for S.Y. 2026–2027. We are happy to see our learners back in school, ready for another year of learning, growth, and new experiences.

This school year is even more special as we welcome everyone to our new school building, new classrooms, and our new school principal, Mrs. Ma. Dulce Alma Lopos.

💚 Brigada Eskwela is also an opportunity for everyone to contribute through volunteer work, donations, clean-up activities, minor repairs, and school beautification efforts as we prepare our school for the opening of classes.

Together, let us continue the spirit of bayanihan and create a safe, clean, and learner-friendly environment for every Talotoanon learner.

A week ago, history was made at Taloto Elementary School as a long-time dream finally came true — the Blessing and Turn-Over Ceremony of our new school building.

This meaningful project was conceived and initiated by Vice President and former DepEd Secretary Sara Duterte during her visit to Taloto ES last September 5, 2023, as she joined the tree-planting activity for the World Teachers’ Month Kick-off celebration together with Senator Imee R. Marcos, Atty. Fiel Y. Almendra (Assistant Regional Director, DepEd RO-7), Margarita Consolacion Ballesteros (Director IV, External Partnerships Service) and other external stakeholders. Among the public schools in the division, Taloto Elementary School was chosen to be visited by the Vice President — truly a memorable and historic moment for the entire school community.

Through the unwavering support of the City Government of Tagbilaran headed by Mayor Jane Yap, Congressman Baba Yap, Taloto Barangay Captain Hon. Francis Eugene Zamora, and with the dynamic leadership of former school principal Lorelei G. Anore, supported and guided by the Tagbilaran City Division under Dr. Wilfreda Bongalos, Schools Division Superintendent, this dream has now become a reality.

The blessing and turn-over ceremony was also graced by DepEd Secretary Sonny Angara, represented by USec. Peter Irving Corvera, USec. Malcolm Garma, USec. T, ASec. Jocelyn Andaya, local officials, DepEd personnel, stakeholders, teachers, parents, and guests who witnessed this milestone for Taloto ES.

With the blessing and prayer led by Rev. Fr. Kiking Magdosa, these classrooms are now ready to welcome learners this opening of classes for S.Y. 2026–2027.

Thank you, Ma’am Lor, for the years of genuine leadership and service. The 3-storey building and covered court are remarkable proofs of your hard work, but more than these, thank you for building strong relationships with the teachers, stakeholders, and community.

And as one chapter closes, another begins. Welcome to Taloto Elementary School, Ma’am Ma. Dulce Alma Lopos. Looking forward to your leadership and wishing you a meaningful journey with us.
