Gone are the days when politics is a realm ruled by a specific gender. We, as a generation, must continually fight against discrimination in the elections on grounds of gender identity.

𝗖𝗲𝗯𝘂 has many claims to fame. Not only is it where the Sinulog Festival, one of the grandest festivals of the Philippines is celebrated, but it is famously the 𝙢𝙤𝙨𝙩 𝙫𝙤𝙩𝙚-𝙧𝙞𝙘𝙝 𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙫𝙞𝙣𝙘𝙚 in the country with 3.29 MILLION registered voters. As per municipality, 𝗤𝘂𝗲𝘇𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆 tops the list as the 𝙢𝙤𝙨𝙩 𝙫𝙤𝙩𝙚-𝙧𝙞𝙘𝙝 𝙘𝙞𝙩𝙮 in the country with 1.4 MILLION registered voters.

𝗗𝗶𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄?

𝙇𝙪𝙯𝙤𝙣, being the Philippines' largest and most populated island, is also the island group with the most registered voters in the country. This is also the case as per region. 𝙍𝙚𝙜𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙄𝙑- 𝙎𝙤𝙪𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙣 𝙏𝙖𝙜𝙖𝙡𝙤𝙜, being the top region in terms of population count, is also the region with the most registered voters.

This coming May 9, 2022, with no divisions and distinctions, let us come as one and vote for the betterment of our entire country. From Luzon to Mindanao, let us do the math and make a difference!

As to s*x, there are 𝙢𝙤𝙧𝙚 𝙛𝙚𝙢𝙖𝙡𝙚 𝙫𝙤𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙨 than males for the May 2022 Elections. The gender gap is 2.38% in favor of women. As to age, the largest age-group who are registered voters is the 𝙖𝙜𝙚-𝙜𝙧𝙤𝙪𝙥 31-59 at 51%.

Come May 9, 2022, let’s put meaning to these records and reflect these statistics to reality. Go out and make your voice be known. Do the math and make a difference!

Hi there, fellow young adults! First time voting? Don’t fret because you’ve got approximately 4,094,613 𝙛𝙞𝙧𝙨𝙩-𝙩𝙞𝙢𝙚 𝙫𝙤𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙨 with you!

The Commission on Elections (Comelec) has recorded more than four million new voters belonging to the 18 to 21 age group. As we have mentioned here in Statistics in Politics before, there’s a great significance of the youth vote in the coming election. That’s why we are extremely proud of you for joining us in this fight!

Over the last 5 elections, the Filipino voter turnout ranged between 72-81%. What will it be this election? As of September 2021, 60.46 𝙢𝙞𝙡𝙡𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙁𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙥𝙞𝙣𝙤𝙨 are already registered for the 2022 general elections. Out of that total, 31.41 million voters are in the age group of 18-40 years old, classified as the youth vote— solidifying the significance of the youth vote in the coming election.
