Oliveria leads FEBHS presence at 2026 Regional Learners’ Convergence

BIL-ISAN, PANGLAO, BOHOL — Schyler Niño Van Oliveria, a learner of Felix E. Bompat High School (FEBHS) and a dedicated Boy Scout, represented Bohol at the 2026 Regional Learners’ Convergence (R7LC) held on September 2–4 in Alcoy, Cebu, joining fellow youth leaders in a three-day celebration of leadership, empowerment, creativity, and youth participation.

Oliveria was among the 15 selected learner leaders who formed the Bohol delegation, accompanied by three teacher-advisers and two Division Youth Formation Coordinators. The delegation brought together representatives from various youth organizations and advocacies, including DFSSLG, DFSELG, DRRM, Mental Health, Barkada Kontra Bisyo, YES-O, Sports, Anti-Bullying, GSP, and BSP.

Before their journey to Cebu, the delegates gathered in Tagbilaran on September 1 and received words of encouragement from Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Fay C. Luarez. Assistant Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Eduardo A. Ompad also joined and supported the delegation on the first day of the convergence.

The Bohol delegation’s enthusiasm and teamwork were also recognized through two awards: 1st Place in Best in Yells and 2nd Place in Best Project Pitch.

Returning home with new experiences, friendships, and lessons, Oliveria brings with him a renewed commitment to lead, empower, and inspire others in his school and community. For Oliveria, the convergence affirmed that leadership is not simply about holding a position or wearing a uniform. It is about finding the courage to step forward, raise one’s voice, and inspire others to act.

The successful participation of the delegation was made possible through the support of their teacher-advisers Mr. Jaype Palma, Ms. Haziel Ahavti Eitch, and Ms. Maya Arcelle Ruiz Gabaisen; Division Youth Formation Coordinator Ms. Aian Dolauta; school heads; and SDO-Bohol administrative heads, SGOD Chief Dr. Wilfreda O. Flor, OIC-ASDS Dr. Neil Michael G. Olaivar, ASDS Dr. Eduardo A. Ompad, and SDS Dr. Fay C. Luarez.

12-Cookery students showcase culinary skills in preparation for TESDA Cookery NC II Assessment

Senior High School students from 12-Cookery put their culinary skills and creativity to the test as they participated in a hands-on appetizer preparation and presentation activity in preparation for their upcoming TESDA Cookery NC II Assessment this December.

One of the core competencies under Cookery NC II is the ability to prepare and present a wide range of appetizers. In line with this competency, the students worked collaboratively in groups to conceptualize, prepare, cook, and creatively present a variety of appetizers.

Given the freedom to select their own recipes and presentation styles, the students were able to showcase not only their developing culinary expertise but also their creativity and individual culinary identities. From careful mise en place and proper food preparation to safe food handling, cooking, plating, and presentation, the activity provided an opportunity for the learners to apply essential competencies in an actual kitchen setting.

More than simply preparing food, the experience allowed the students to strengthen the practical skills and confidence they will need as they take on the TESDA Cookery NC II Assessment in December.

Felix E. Bompat High School proudly commends the 12-Cookery students for their dedication, creativity, and perseverance. As they continue honing their skills, may they carry the same passion and determination into their upcoming assessment.

Empowered to Serve! ❤️⛑️

We are thrilled to announce the successful completion of the Youth Volunteer Formation Course (YVFC) held last September 19–20, 2026 at Felix E. Bompat High School, Bil-isan, Panglao, Bohol!

A massive congratulations to our 28 passionate students who officially passed the course and are now ready to serve as certified Red Cross Youth volunteers!

This milestone wouldn't have been possible without the dedication, guidance, and unwavering support of our RCY team and leadership.

✨Today was filled with mixed emotions as we gathered to pull off a surprise despedida for our beloved Ma’am Kitty (Angelita A. Labitad) on her final day with us. While it's hard to say goodbye, our hearts are bursting with pride as she officially takes on her permanent teaching item in Mabini, Bohol! 🏫❤️

Thank you for your dedication, warmth, and the countless lives you’ve touched during your time here. You will be deeply missed by the entire school family, but we know you are destined to do great things in your new school home!
