Volunteers from Balay Paglaum Counseling and Education and Pro-Life came together to share updates on our ongoing initiatives and future plans, including our pro-life initiatives. Our mission remains strong, to provide free counseling, crisis support, education, and pro-life support to individuals, couples, and families within the Diocese of Tagbilaran and across Bohol. Together, we continue to serve, support, and uphold the value of life in our communities 💙

With the presence of Balay PAGLAUM, Msgr. Fr. Vicente L. Uy, SVD and the support of PROLIFE Spiritual Director Msgr. Jeffrey P. Malanog, JCL, we are guided and inspired in strengthening our shared mission.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to the Pro-Life and Balay Paglaum volunteers, together with Pabs and Margie Magdoza (Couple Chairs), JB and Tata Bullecer (Balay Paglaum Couple Coordinators), Mario and Mila Israel (Pro-Life Couple Coordinators), and Maita Magdoza Bandija, our volunteer clinical psychologist and counseling coordinator, as well as all our active volunteers.

We Celebrate Life!

The 27th Pro-Life Commemoration of the Unborn Child was celebrated by the Diocesan Pro-Life Ministry and the Balay Paglaum Counseling Team, in coordination with the Daughters of Mary Immaculate International and the Catholic Women’s League, together with family life advocates, during the Pro-Life Congress held on December 27, 2025, at JJS Seafood Village, Tagbilaran City.

Entitled “Hope Amidst Adversity: Addressing Critical Issues in Life and Family,” the event focused on upholding the sanctity of life, strengthening families, and finding hope amid contemporary challenges, with speakers Dr. Rene Bullecer, MD, Ms. Mildred Maranan, and Rev. Fr. Darwin Gitgano.

The congress was capped with a Holy Mass celebrated by Msgr. Jeffrey P. Malanog, JCL, together with Fr. Vicente L. Uy, SVD.

In celebration of the Feast of the Holy Innocents, the activities culminated in the blessing and commemoration of the Tomb of the Unborn Child at St. Joseph Cathedral, together with the youth, honoring the lives of unborn children.

We thank the youth, Pro-Life and Balay Paglaum volunteers, the working committees led by Pabs and Margie Magdoza, our partners, benefactors, and donors.

Together, we continue to stand for life. 💙

We Celebrate Life!

PROLIFE 25th COMMEMORATION OF THE UNBORN CHILD AND TRIBUTE TO THE YOUTH

PROLIFE and Balay Paglaum Counseling Team, with all the family life advocates celebrated Innocents day on December 28, 2024 at San Antonio de Padua Parish and St. Joseph Cathedral. The activity started with youth forum on "The TRue Meaning of Life S*x and Marriage, a Commemorative Mass, Prolife March and the blessing of the Tomb of the Unborn Child officiated by Msgr. Jeffrey P. Malanog, JCL (Consultant of Prolife, Vicar for the Laity), Fr. Vicente L. Uy, SVD (Spiritual Director of Balay Paglaum, Vicar for the Religious)

Balay Paglaum Counseling and Education marks its 4th year of service through a counseling and helping training workshop for our teachers ☺️.

Participated by teacher respresentatives and guidance designates of BACS schools and schools of religious congregations in the Diocese of Tagbilaran, and BACS Talibon, the two-day training workshop aimed at addressing the mental health issues /cases of our students and equipping our education sector with the counseling and helping skills to better respond to our learners in times of crisis.

BDMPC (Outreach Committee ) in partnership with BALAY PAGLAUM COUNSELING AND EDUCATION SERVICE / PROLIFE invites all teachers and designated counselors of BACS schools under the Diocese of Tagbilaran to a :

FREE Counseling & Helping Skills Workshop for Teachers & School Personnel, with a theme “Strengthening the Role of Teachers, Guidance Advocates in Fostering Student and School Community Resilience”.

This is in response to the urgent need of our community to strengthen mental health programs/ practices and enhance the well-being of our students.

Balay Paglaum will soon celebrate its 4th anniversary. We dedicate this workshop to our Patronnes, Birhen Sang Barangay as She continues to guide us in our mission to serve our families and the Boholano community.
