A Community Extension Services Office serves as the catalyst for change via outreach programs to an identified beneficiaries.
We are a vibrant community of EMPOWERED young people geared towards LEARNING, INSPIRED and IMPASSIONED to MAKE DIFFERENCE IN OUR COMMUNITIES, and TRANSFORM SOCIETY. Among BIT-IC’s desired objectives is to reach out to communities in need of technical knowledge and other support services aligned to the concept that learning is not only confined to the four walls of a classroom but through experient
ial approach. It is on this context that the school is establishing a Community Extension Services Office where innate human potentials are honed and material resources are accorded to communities thereby transforming them into active contributors for a better tomorrow, a good attribute for economic development and nation building. It is the central base of plans, activities, projects as reflected or derived from needs assessments with the end view of providing solutions and/or better options for the prevailing social challenges in a community. The office shall be supported by students, teaching and non-teaching staff in the pursuit of its programs as implementers. This also opens doors to institutions or agencies both private and government sectors as sponsoring partners based on their organizational competencies. It is envisaged that each college/department of the school must have their own individual project where the extension office shall coordinate and monitor its implementation and progress. The Extension Services office enables BIT-IC’s educational programs to reach and touch the lives of many through technology “knowledge” transfer to create impact for people empowerment and sustainable development.
