𝐏𝐀𝐑𝐓 𝟏: 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐓𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐲𝐭𝐚𝐲 𝟏𝐬𝐭 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞

The 𝟏𝐬𝐭 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐓𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐲𝐭𝐚𝐲 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 successfully brought together representatives from various schools, alongside student participants, in a meaningful gathering that celebrated research, collaboration, and academic excellence.

The program formally opened with an inspiring message from the Vice President for Academic Affairs, 𝐃𝐫. 𝐈𝐯𝐲 𝐅𝐞 𝐌. 𝐇𝐨𝐧𝐠, who emphasized her vision of developing CCTians into research thinkers equipped with critical and analytical skills.

This was followed by the Special Address of the RDE Director, 𝐌𝐫. 𝐓𝐨𝐦𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐨 𝐁. 𝐕𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐨𝐧, who described the conference as a “baby step”—a humble yet significant beginning, expressing his optimism for a bigger and more impactful research culture in the years to come.

The highlight of the event was the plenary session delivered by 𝐃𝐫. 𝐉𝐞𝐚𝐧𝐫𝐢𝐳𝐳𝐚 𝐃𝐞𝐥𝐚 𝐂𝐫𝐮𝐳, 𝐑𝐍, from the Office of the Vice President for Academics and Services of Olivarez College Tagaytay. In her talk, “Using Research to Strengthen Institutional Performance and Governance,” she shared valuable insights on how research can be utilized as a tool for institutional growth and effective governance. She also provided practical tips and meaningful suggestions to educators and researchers, encouraging them to engage in purposeful research, align studies with institutional goals, and continuously use findings to improve academic programs and services.

This first part of the conference reflects the institution’s commitment to fostering a strong research culture and empowering both faculty and students in the pursuit of knowledge.

The simultaneous oral presentation of research studies by the School of Education and the School of Hospitality and Tourism Management is currently in progress.

The Eurekans gathered for the 2nd General Assembly on April 23, 2026, at the RDE Hub, Admin Building.

The assembly began with a discussion led by Vice President for Research, Ms. Sophia Jade Godalle, who reviewed the fundamental parts of research to strengthen members’ academic understanding.

This was followed by President Ms. Aeriele Nicole Ribon, who discussed the purpose and identity of EUREKA, encouraging members to uphold its values of hope, courage, and knowledge through leadership and initiative.

Vice President for Extension Services, Mr. Darren Caillan, then highlighted the role of extension services and upcoming responsibilities for institutional activities.

The assembly concluded with a short review, group organization, and important reminders for upcoming events, reinforcing collaboration and commitment among members.

We proudly congratulate Mr. Gerald Ello, RDE Staff, for winning 2nd Place in Elevator Pitch – Best Presenter (Overall Professional Category) during the 3rd Dasmariñas Research Congress held at Kolehiyo ng Lungsod ng Dasmariñas last April 17, 2026.

His research titled, “An Evaluation of Research Colloquium Series in Senior High School Using Kirkpatrick’s Four-Level Model,” showcases his dedication to advancing educational research and practice.
