ALTERNATIVE WORK ARRANGEMENTS FOR GOVERNMENT OFFICES, ALTERNATIVE LEARNING MODES FOR SCHOOLS ON AUGUST 20

Pursuant to Memorandum Circular No. 131, government offices are directed to implement appropriate alternative work arrangements in the National Capital Region and the following provinces on August 20, 2026:

📍 National Capital Region (NCR)
📍 Abra
📍 Benguet
📍 Ilocos Norte
📍 Ilocos Sur
📍 La Union
📍 Pangasinan
📍 Bataan
📍 Bulacan
📍 Nueva Ecija
📍 Pampanga
📍 Tarlac
📍 Zambales
📍 Batangas
📍 Cavite
📍 Laguna
📍 Rizal
📍 Occidental Mindoro

Unless otherwise directed by their respective Local Chief Executives, alternative learning modes for classes and learning continuity measures at all levels in public and private schools shall be implemented in the aforementioned areas.

Agencies involved in the delivery of basic and health services, disaster preparedness and response, and other vital services shall continue their operations and render the necessary services.

Contract of Service (COS) and Job Order (JO) workers placed under alternative work arrangements shall be paid their corresponding wages or salaries, subject to applicable rules and regulations.

The suspension of work or adoption of alternative work arrangements in the private sector shall be left to the discretion of management.

Following the directive of the MALACAÑANG PALACE through Memorandum Circular No. 126, the City Government of Tagaytay is implementing the appropriate alternative work arrangements today, August 14, 2026, due to the continuing heavy rainfall brought by the Southwest Monsoon. As Local Chief Executive, I respect and will abide by the said memorandum, and we will fully comply with the directive.

As of this writing, classes in all levels are suspended in Tagaytay City. I urge everyone to remain vigilant, monitor official advisories, and prioritize safety, especially in areas affected by flooding, landslides, and other rain-related hazards.

📢 CLASS SUSPENSION ADVISORY

Dahil sa patuloy na epekto ng Southwest Monsoon (Habagat), na pinalalakas ng Bagyong MAYMAY, at inaasahang magdudulot ng tuloy-tuloy na malalakas na pag-ulan sa Lalawigan ng Cavite, suspendido ang klase sa lahat ng antas, pampubliko at pribado, sa buong lalawigan ngayong Huwebes, August 6, 2026.

Pinapayuhan ang lahat na unahin ang kanilang kaligtasan at patuloy na subaybayan ang mga opisyal na anunsyo ng PAGASA, ng inyong lokal na pamahalaan, at ng mga kinauukulang ahensya.

Ang kaligtasan ng ating mga mag-aaral, g**o, at mga kawani ng paaralan ang ating pangunahing prayoridad.

Alinsunod sa anunsyo ng Pamahalaang Panlalawigan ng Cavite, suspendido ang klase sa lahat ng antas, pampubliko at pribadong paaralan sa Lungsod ng 𝐓𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐲𝐭𝐚𝐲 𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐲𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐇𝐮𝐰𝐞𝐛𝐞𝐬, 𝐀𝐠𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐨 𝟔, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 dahil sa patuloy na epekto ng Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) na pinalalakas ng Bagyong MAYMAY, na inaasahang magdudulot ng tuloy-tuloy na malalakas na pag-ulan sa lalawigan.

Pinapayuhan ang lahat ng Batang Tagaytay, mga magulang, g**o, at kawani ng paaralan na unahin ang kanilang kaligtasan, manatiling alerto, at patuloy na subaybayan ang mga opisyal na anunsyo mula sa PAGASA, Tagaytay City Government, at iba pang kinauukulang ahensya para sa mga susunod na abiso.
