Today, we celebrate the Solemnity of the Ascension of the Lord, when Jesus ascended into heaven before His apostles (Acts 1:9), forty days after Easter. The Ascension marks the fulfillment of His earthly mission through His Passion, Death, and Resurrection. Now glorified, He reigns at the right hand of the Father.

Known as the Miracle of Hope, the Ascension reminds us of Jesus’ promise to send the Holy Spirit. The apostles, once fearful, were filled with courage and strength to proclaim the Good News—and that same Spirit continues to guide us today.

May we open our hearts to the Holy Spirit and live our faith with courage, joy, and love as we share the hope of Christ with others.

Let us pray:

Lord Jesus, as You ascended into heaven, fill our hearts with hope and send us Your Holy Spirit. Help us to live with faith, courage, and love as we continue Your mission each day. Amen.
