The Stage 2 Validation for the Gawad Patnugot 2026 – Outstanding SNED Teacher was successfully conducted in recognition of the exemplary performance and dedication of Stephanie G*e S. Abaño, who qualified for the second stage of the prestigious search.
The validation showcased Ms. Abaño's commitment to delivering quality, inclusive, and learner-centered education for SNED learners. Various pieces of evidence highlighting best teaching practices, learner development, stakeholder engagement, and school initiatives were presented to the validation team.
The activity was made possible through the collective efforts and unwavering support of the Schools Division Office of Cavite Province. Sincere appreciation is extended to Dr. Rosemarie D. Torres, Schools Division Superintendent; Dr. Elpidia Bergado, Chief of the Curriculum Implementation Division; and Dr. Josephine Monzaga, Education Program Supervisor for SNED, for their invaluable guidance, technical assistance, and continuous encouragement throughout the preparation and validation process.
The success of the validation was further strengthened by the full support of Dr. Arvin Marinduque, Public Schools District Supervisor of Tagaytay District I; Dr. Imee Quiñonez, School Principal; the SNED teachers; and the teaching and non-teaching personnel of Tagaytay City Central School. Their teamwork, dedication, and collaborative efforts ensured the smooth conduct of the activity and reflected the school's commitment to excellence in inclusive education.
The City Government of Tagaytay also played a significant role in this achievement. Heartfelt gratitude is extended to Hon. Aizack Brent N. Tolentino, City Mayor, for his steadfast support of educational programs, and to Engr. Emma Pello, Head of the City Planning and Development Office (CPDO), whose unwavering encouragement and generosity greatly contributed to the success of the validation.
The school likewise expresses its deepest appreciation to the Regional Validation Team composed of Mr. Philips Monterola, Ms. Donna Lago, and Ms. Ma. Joan Paula Dino for their professionalism, fairness, and valuable insights throughout the validation process. Their commitment to recognizing excellence among educators and advancing quality and inclusive education is truly commendable.
Special thanks are also extended to the parents and learners whose active participation, trust, and cooperation reflected the strong partnership between the school, families, and the community in promoting inclusive and quality education.
