🎻 STREETS TO STRINGS PROGRAM: THE CLASSICAL CONCERT 🎶

Last August 3, a dream unfolded on stage.

Once just wide-eyed kids watching from the audience, our students finally stood under the lights of the same grand hall they used to admire from afar. What was once only a hope "Sana makatugtog din kami diyan balang araw” became real, alive, and echoing with music born from discipline, dedication, and passion.

Behind every note played was a story.
A story of a child who made a choice, to show up, to try, to learn.
To hold a violin, viola, or cello instead of something harmful.
To step into a classroom instead of wandering the streets, unsure of where safety is.
To carry an instrument case, instead of burdens no child should ever have to bear.
To choose to wake up early for rehearsals, instead of waking up to chaos, hunger, or being forgotten.
To be seen, not as a burden, but as someone with a future.

Six months of relentless effort led to a concert that wasn’t just a performance, but a celebration of resilience and transformation.

This program was built on a simple but powerful dream: to give children a chance. A safe space. An instrument to hold instead of things that harm. Music to listen to, instead of noise that drowns dreams.

Because we believe that music can change lives, and last Sunday, we witnessed exactly that.

To our dear students, thank you for your bravery.
Your courage to dream and your willingness to work for it inspire us all.
To our parents, supporters, and friends, thank you for standing beside us.
To Sr. Agnella Capili, OSB and the board of Sr. Baptista Battig Music Foundation, Inc., thank you for your trust and unwavering support.
To our Head Teacher, Teacher Liezel, thank you for leading with both strength and heart.
