Para sa mga mag-aaral na biglang naantala ang buhay dahil sa sakit o kahirapan, ang Alternative Learning System (ALS) ay nagsisilbing isang mahalagang kanlungan kung saan muling binubuo ang mga pangarap.

Isa na rito ang dating ALS student na si Aldwin Balintec na minsan nang pinatagil ng karamdaman, ngunit ngayon ay isa nang mobile teacher na determinado sa pagsagip sa iba mula sa anino ng kawalan ng edukasyon na minsan din niyang pinagdaanan.
