Kasunod ng isinagawang Rapid Damage Assessment and Needs Analysis (RDANA) ng mga kinauukulang ahensya matapos ang naranasang lindol, at batay sa resulta ng mga isinagawang inspeksyon, walang naitalang major infrastructure damage sa Lalawigan ng Sultan Kudarat.

Napatunayan din sa isinagawang assessment na ligtas at passable ang mga pangunahing kalsada, at walang umiiral na sitwasyon na maglalagay sa panganib sa pagbabalik ng mga mag-aaral sa kanilang mga paaralan.

Bagama't naitala ang Intensity III sa bahagi ng Palimbang, nananatiling ligtas ang pangkalahatang kalagayan ng lalawigan.

Dahil dito, ini-lift na ang suspension of classes, at ipagpapatuloy ang regular na face-to-face classes bukas, August 6, 2026, sa lahat ng public at private schools sa Sultan Kudarat.

BEYOND THE WALLS: 40 PDLs CELEBRATE SECOND CHANCES THROUGH ALS

Education knows no walls and every learner deserves a second chance.

The BJMP Tacurong City District Jail–Male and Female Dormitories, in partnership with the DepEd Schools Division Office of Tacurong City, celebrated the 16th ALS Graduation and Moving-Up Ceremonies for SY 2025–2026 A&E Test passers on August 4, 2026.

A total of 40 Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL) marked a significant milestone as ALS graduates and completers, proof that determination, education, and hope can open new doors.

The celebration was graced by JINSP Ulysses M. Caspillo, Regional Chief of Welfare and Development; Dr. Carlos G. Susarno, CESO VI, OIC-SDS; ASDS Gilbert B. Barrera, CESE; and Atty. Remo Flores, representing the LGU of Tacurong City.

The event was made possible through the collaborative efforts of BJMP, DepEd ALS implementers, school heads, and education partners, led by JCINSP Danilo P. Castillon, SJO3 Irene A. Tenchavez, EPS Bernard F. Antolo, and EPSA-II Jonal S. Cadiao.

Adding inspiration was Ms. Marian Rose M. Ali, a proud ALS alumna, whose story of transformation and success reminded everyone that second chances can lead to new beginnings.

To ensure the safety and welfare of all learners following the earthquake and the possibility of aftershocks, all afternoon classes at all levels in both public and private schools throughout the Province of Sultan Kudarat are hereby suspended, effective immediately today, 05 August 2026.

Students, parents, teachers, and school personnel are advised to remain vigilant, observe safety protocols, and continue monitoring official advisories from the concerned authorities.

Amplifying Every Teacher’s Voice: DepEd Provides 895 Lapel Voice Amplifiers to SDO Tacurong City

August 4, 2026 β€” The Department of Education (DepEd) Central Office, through its continuing efforts to strengthen classroom instruction and support teachers, has provided 895 lapel voice amplifiers for distribution to the Schools Division Office (SDO) of Tacurong City, with all teachers and all Alternative Learning System (ALS) implementers as recipients.

The provision of these devices is a meaningful support to teachers and ALS implementers in delivering instruction, particularly during classroom discussions, interactive activities, presentations, and other learning engagements. The lapel voice amplifiers are intended to help them project their voices more clearly, allowing learners to hear instructions and discussions more effectively.

More than a classroom device, the lapel voice amplifier serves as an instructional support tool that can help improve teacher-learner communication and contribute to a more conducive and participatory learning environment. It also provides teachers and ALS implementers with added support in sustaining clear and audible instruction throughout their teaching and learning sessions.

With 895 units reaching all teachers and ALS implementers in the division, SDO Tacurong City recognizes the continuing commitment of the DepEd Central Office to equip educators with resources that respond to actual instructional needs and support them in reaching learners in diverse learning environments.

Bilang pag-iingat sa patuloy na hindi magandang lagay ng panahon, nananatiling ipinatutupad ang early class dismissal sa lahat ng public at private schools sa buong Lalawigan ng Sultan Kudarat.

Hanggang 2:00 P.M. lamang ang face-to-face classes.

Matapos ang dismissal, ang mga natitirang class hours ay ipagpapatuloy sa pamamagitan ng online, modular, o iba pang alternative learning modalities, alinsunod sa implementasyon ng bawat paaralan.

SDO Tacurong City Joins 75th Araw ng Tacurong Celebration

TACURONG CITY β€” The Schools Division Office (SDO) of Tacurong City today joins the 75th Araw ng Tacurong Civic Parade and Decorated Kudong Competition, reaffirming its solidarity and strong partnership with the City Government of Tacurong in celebrating the city’s rich heritage, achievements, and continuing journey of progress.

Carrying the theme, β€œHalin sang Una Tubtob Subong, Naga Ugyon kag Nagapanilakid para sa Tacurong!”, the celebration brings together government offices, organizations, and community members in honoring Tacurong’s history while looking toward a future shaped by unity and collective action.

Led by OIC-Schools Division Superintendent Carlos G. Susarno, PhD, CESO VI, together with the Assistant Schools Division Superintendent and Division Office personnel, SDO Tacurong City actively participates in today’s civic parade.

The Division’s presence reflects its commitment to being a strong and reliable partner of the Local Government Unit in advancing initiatives that benefit learners, schools, families, and the community. Beyond education, DepEd recognizes its role in contributing to community development and strengthening the shared sense of identity and pride among Tacurongnons.

Today’s celebration is likewise an opportunity for Division Office personnel to come together with the community and celebrate 75 years of shared history, culture, resilience, and progress.

Beyond Second Chances: SDO Tacurong Celebrates 16th ALS Moving-Up and Commencement Exercises

TACURONG CITY | July 31, 2026 β€” The Schools Division Office (SDO) of Tacurong City celebrated a significant milestone as it successfully conducted the 16th Alternative Learning System (ALS) Moving-Up and Commencement Exercises at the Tacurong Pilot Elementary School Gymnasium.

The ceremony honored the perseverance, determination, and achievements of ALS learners who embraced a second chance at education and took another meaningful step toward their dreams and aspirations.

The momentous celebration was graced by Carlos G. Susarno, PhD, CESO VI, Officer-in-Charge of the Office of the Schools Division Superintendent, and Gilbert B. Barrera, CESE, Assistant Schools Division Superintendent, together with DepEd leaders, Cluster Heads, ALS implementers, SNED personnel, LGU and CSWD representatives, BJMP, BLGUs, parents, and other stakeholders.

A highlight of the event was the inspiring story shared by the guest speaker, a proud ALS alumna and successful ALS passer, who recounted how the program became a turning point in her life, transforming a second chance at education into a pathway toward a successful career.

The successful celebration was made possible through the leadership of Bernard F. Antolo, Education Program Supervisor and ALS Division Focal Person, and Jonald S. Cadiao, Education Program Specialist II for ALS, together with the dedicated ALS implementers and partners.

More than a ceremony, the event celebrated resilience, hope, and the transformative power of education, affirming SDO Tacurong’s commitment to ensuring that every learner, regardless of circumstance, has an opportunity to learn, succeed, and build a better future.
