New Updates
Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) (Post-graduate Work Permit)
• Graduates from the University of Windsor’s Bachelor’s, Master’s and PhD programs are eligible for the maximum 3-year PGWP
• No field of study restrictions apply to any of the University of Windsor’s programs, ensuring full PGWP eligibility across all levels of study.
• For admission to any University of Windsor program, students must meet a minimum IELTS score of 6.5, which exceeds the required CLB 7 (equivalent to IELTS 6) necessary for PGWP eligibility, which ELA will help you achieve.
Spouse Open Work Permit (SOWP) (spousal-open-work-permit)
• All the University of Windsor Cohort-based master programs are 16 months in length, and spouses of the University of Windsor graduate students remain fully eligible for SOWP
• The policy limiting SOWPs based on specific occupations or areas with labour
• shortages do not apply to the University of Windsor students and their spouses.

Application Deadlines
Recommended Application Deadlines for Undergraduate Programs
• May 1 for September admissions (Fall)
• Sept 1 for January admissions (Winter)
• Jan 1 for May admissions (Spring)
The above application deadlines are recommended to best ensure your program choice is available and enough time is available for student VISA processing.
the University of Windsor does, however, admit qualified students after the deadlines listed above, if the program has available space.
Application Deadlines for Graduate Programs
Application deadlines for the University of Windsor’s graduate programs vary per program. We will help you check your profile for the graduate program(s) in which you are interested in specific dates.
It is recommended international applicants apply 8-12 months before the start of the program.
