Join us in a solemn celebration of gratitude and faith as we begin the 105th Founding Anniversary of Leyte Normal University with a Thanksgiving Mass.

With the theme “LNU@105: Sustaining Excellence, Embracing Innovation, Expanding Horizons,” we gather as one community to offer prayers of thanksgiving for 105 years of transformative education, meaningful service, and unwavering commitment to excellence.

Twelve years have passed since Supertyphoon Haiyan, locally known as Yolanda, struck the Visayas. The storm left thousands dead, with Eastern Visayas suffering the greatest loss.

Haiyan remains etched in history as the strongest typhoon ever to hit land and the deadliest disaster in the Philippines’ records. Its legacy is a reminder of resilience, grief, and the continuing call for preparedness. It is also a call to never stop demanding accountability and to keep pushing for stronger disaster plans and government action that truly protect communities.

On this solemn day, we remember and pray for the souls of our dearly departed — our loved ones who may no longer be with us, but whose love still echoes in our hearts.

Every candle lit is a whisper of remembrance, every prayer said is a bridge of love that connects heaven and earth. Though we may no longer see them, their memory lives on in the stories we tell, the lessons they taught, and the love they left behind.

As we pray for their eternal rest, may we also find peace in knowing that love never truly fades — it only changes its form.

Today, we celebrate the faith, courage, and devotion of all the saints — known and unknown — who walked the path of righteousness before us. Their lives remind us that holiness is not unreachable; it is found in our everyday acts of kindness, humility, and love.

As we remember their sacrifices and stories, may we be inspired to live with the same faith that moved them — a faith that shines even in silence, even in trials. The saints continue to guide us, not through their presence, but through the light they’ve left behind.

Let us take a moment to pray, to give thanks, and to honor their unwavering spirit. 🌼

Truly, this is a great start for our newly formed organization (soon to be accredited). 💙 Thank you to all the members who poured their time, energy, and creativity into making this possible. The LNU - InterFaith is a student-centered, faith-driven organization that seeks to nurture the spiritual life of the Leyte Normal University community. Rooted in fellowship, service, and inclusivity, we aim to inspire students to grow in their faith, strengthen their values, and become servant-leaders within and beyond the campus.

Through prayer gatherings, outreach programs, and collaborative activities, the organization provides a safe and welcoming space where students of diverse religious backgrounds can journey together in faith, hope, and love. Guided by the spirit of unity and compassion, the LNU Campus Ministry is committed to being a light in the university, empowering students to live out their calling and positively impact society.
