𝗔𝗹𝗹 𝗶𝘀 𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗺, 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗶𝘀 𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁... 𝙠𝙖𝙨𝙞 𝙬𝙖𝙡𝙖 𝙣𝙖 𝙖𝙠𝙤𝙣𝙜 𝙙𝙚𝙖𝙙𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙚𝙨!😝

Finally, our LMS has gone silent and our weeks ahead will be filled with (hopefully) rest. As Bahandi finishes its first semester, we can finally loosen up a bit and enjoy a well-deserved break. Whether you will spend the upcoming nights attending Simbang Gabi with perfect attendance, going out to enjoy street food, or still continuing to work for your future— we would like to commend you for a job well done in surviving the past five months!

In spite of it all, you still survived.

𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀, 𝗕𝗮𝘁𝗰𝗵 𝗕𝗮𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶! ✨

𝑨𝑹𝑻𝑰𝑽𝑰𝑺𝑴: 𝑺𝑶𝑳𝑰𝑫𝑨𝑹𝑰𝑻𝒀 𝑰𝑵 𝑪𝑯𝑨𝑳𝑲

Writing in chalk has never been about just creativity and color; there is always a message. There is a voice coming from those who cannot speak up. Art is, in itself, a powerful act of protest.

On 𝐍𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 17, our 𝐈𝐬𝐤𝐨𝐥𝐚𝐫 𝐧𝐠 𝐁𝐚𝐲𝐚𝐧 used chalk to speak as they drew their concerns and struggles with the school and the nation. They voiced out their advocacies in colorful drawings and bold statements on the walkway of the AS grounds, all expressing their different concerns. It proves that the fight for change takes many forms; whether a bold voice in a rally or a quiet message written in chalk, every act of resistance is valid and necessary.

𝘾𝘼𝙇𝙇 𝙁𝙊𝙍 𝘿𝙊𝙉𝘼𝙏𝙄𝙊𝙉𝙎 𝙁𝙊𝙍 𝙏𝙃𝙀 𝙑𝙄𝘾𝙏𝙄𝙈𝙎 𝙊𝙁 𝙏𝙔𝙋𝙃𝙊𝙊𝙉 𝙏𝙄𝙉𝙊

The recent onslaught of Typhoon Tino has affected several communities in Southern Leyte, with Barangay Sudmon, Silago being one of the most heavily impacted areas. Our fellow Filipinos there are now struggling to rise from their feet, with their urgent need for food, water, sanitary kits, clothes and other basic necessities.

With this, the Batch Bahandi Student Council joins the call to extend help and are humbly asking for your hand in support through monetary or in-kind donations in order to help the people in Barangay Sudmon. Whether it be clothes, food, water or any other contribution, big or small, will make a difference and greatly help these affected communitites.

Let us come together and share our own treasure to help those in need, let us make a difference!

Years have flown by, but the candles lit during the dark nights of Typhoon Yolanda will never be forgotten. Thousands of houses were wrecked, with the roofs of their homes taken and the things they hold dear destroyed. Floods filled the roads of towns, with people in despair trying to climb to the highest of their hopes for the water not to drown them. Families still in distraught after doing everything they can to survive and protect their loved ones, and Typhoon Yolanda still deciding to take those close to their hearts.

The strong winds and waters brought by this storm might have faded away, but the despair and mourning of thousands of Filipinos continue to stay up until this day. Let us all take a moment and pray for those who have lost the light in their candles, and light another one in remembrance for the life they have lived.

BAGSAKAN NA SA UP TACLOBAN!!

Ngayong buwan ng oktubre ay ating pinagdidiwang ang buwan ng mga pesante, at sa kanilang pakikibaka para sa lupa, hustisya, at kabuhayan. Sa harap ng krisis na pinalalala ng patuloy na korapsyon, militarisasyon, at pangangamkap ng lupa sa ating rehiyon ay patuloy na titindig ang mga magsasaka sa Samar-Leyte upang ipaglaban ang kanilang mga karapatan.

Bukas, October 30, 2025 mula 9:00 AM hanggang 5:00 PM ay magkakaroon ng Bagsakan ang mga magsasaka kung saan ipinagbebenta ang mga ani mula sa direktang sakahan tungo sa hapag ng mga iskolar ng bayan. Magkakaroon rin ng Solidarity Gathering kasama ang mga magsasaka upang talakayin ang kanilang kasalukuyang kalagayan sa harap ng samu’t saring isyu katulad ng korapsyon at militarisasyon sa kanayunan.

Iniimbitahan ng Pulso Han Mag-aaram, UP Tacloban Student Council, at UPTC Batch Bahandi ang mga mag-aaral, g**o, manininda, at mga kawani ng UP Tacloban na dumalo, bumili, makipag-aralan, at sumuporta sa laban ng mga magsasaka para sa lupa at kabuhayan!

That's right, this is your chance to serve 𝐁𝐚𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐢 in your own way! Be it creative or logistic, there is a place for your talents and your ideas.
