In response and in support to the Division's call for volunteers and donation in its "Adopt A Malitbog Teacher Project and Campaign for School Clearing and Cleaning Volunteers" through Division Memorandum No. 731, s. 2021, the school management headed by Danilo S. Quejada arrived at a decision to send volunteers and aid to the said project. This decision was made after a consultative meeting with the school staff/personnel last January 3, 2022. Tasks were delegated from the collection of contributions to the purchase and packing of goods to be donated.
Two private/personal vehicles with the Anibong Night High School's delegation joined the Division's convoy to Malitbog, Southern Leyte early morning of January 5, 2022. It was the second time when SDO Tacloban City sent humanitarian support to schools ravaged by Super Typhoon Odette. It was also the second time when the school sent gift packs and volunteers to support the Division's desire to help our brothers and sisters in the service.
This time around, aside from the donated sack of food and other survival kits/packs, ANiHS sent a total of 10 volunteers headed by the school head himself, Danilo Quejada. Armed with sundang, bolo, sirutso/lagare, kagkag/rake and other clearing and cleaning materials, ANiHS volunteers wholeheartedly dedicated their time and energy to what was expected of them as "cleaning and clearing volunteers".
The rest of the faculty and staff of ANiHS salute the efforts and are grateful for the services shared by our teacher-volunteers. Salute also to the Schools Division of Tacloban City headed by SDS Mariza S. Magan for initiating a worthwhile project that gave its personnel an opportunity to share and show love and kindness to humanity.
