🎉🇵🇭 Matagumpay na Naisagawa ang Pagbubukas ng Buwan ng Wika sa Kapangian Central School 🇵🇭🎉

Bagama’t nahuli ng isang linggo dahil sa mga naunang gawain tulad ng Sportsfest 2026, matagumpay na naisagawa ng mga g**o at mag-aaral ng Kapangian Central School ang pagbubukas ng pagdiriwang ng Buwan ng Wika.

Noong ika-10 ng Agosto 2026, napuno ng mga batang nakasuot ng makukulay na kasuotan ang gymnasium ng Kapangian Central School bilang paggunita sa ikalawang linggo ng Buwan ng Wika. Bilang bahagi ng pang-umagang gawain tuwing Lunes, nagsuot ng mga katutubong at pang-Pilipinong kasuotan ang mga g**o at mag-aaral upang ipakita ang pagpapahalaga sa kulturang Pilipino.

Sa pangunguna nina Gng. Maricel P. Gaviola at Bb. Danielle Mae Navarro, naging matagumpay ang nasabing programa. Pumarada ang mga mag-aaral mula Kindergarten hanggang Ikaanim na Baitang at umakyat sa entablado upang ipakita ang kanilang mga naggagandahang kasuotan. Binilang naman ang mga mag-aaral sa bawat baitang na nakasuot ng pang-Pilipinong kasuotan para sa kategoryang Pinaka-Nakikilahok (Most Participative).

Hindi rin nagpahuli ang mga g**o at buong pagmamalaking ipinakita ang kanilang mga kasuotang Pilipino.

Matapos ang pagpapakita ng iba’t ibang kasuotan ng mga mag-aaral at g**o, inanunsyo ang baitang na may pinakamaraming kalahok. Ang karangalang ito ay napunta sa Ikaapat na Baitang sa pangunguna ng kanilang mga g**o at ng punong-abala na si Gng. Heidelina P. Meñano.

Inanunsyo rin ni Gng. Maricel P. Gaviola ang iba’t ibang gawaing may kaugnayan sa Buwan ng Wika na maaaring isagawa sa loob ng silid-aralan. Ang mga ito ay alinsunod sa patakarang “No Disruption of Classes” sa loob ng Instructional Block.

Inaasahan ang aktibong pakikilahok ng lahat ng mga mag-aaral sa mga gawaing ipatutupad ng kanilang mga tagapayo sa loob ng kanilang mga silid-aralan bilang bahagi ng pagdiriwang ng Buwan ng Wika.

⛹️‍♂️🤾Kapangian Central School Holds Sportsfest 2026, Promotes Sportsmanship and Physical Excellence 🏀🏅

KAPANGIAN CENTRAL SCHOOL, Tacloban City — Kapangian Central School successfully conducted its Sportsfest 2026 on August 1, 2026, gathering learners, teachers, parents, and stakeholders in a celebration of sportsmanship, resilience, and physical excellence. Carrying the theme, “Uniting Learners Through Sportsmanship, Resilience, and Physical Excellence,” the event served as a preparatory activity for the upcoming District Meet, the City Mayor’s Cup, and the Eastern Visayas Regional Athletic Association (EVRAA) Meet.

The school gymnasium transformed into a vibrant display of colors as learners from Kindergarten, SNEd, and Grades 1 to 6 proudly represented their respective teams. The festive atmosphere reflected the enthusiasm and unity of the entire school community.

One of the highlights of the opening program was the raising of the team banners led by teachers and learners. This was followed by the lighting of the friendship urn by three student-athletes who proudly represented Kapangian Central School in the 2025 Palarong Pambansa: James Cinco, Ranstein Josh Abonales, and James Niño Sarcos. The ceremony symbolized unity, camaraderie, and the true spirit of sportsmanship among all participants.

The event was graced by Public Schools District Supervisor Dr. Joelma I. Dagami and School Head Dr. Aurelia A. Dela Cruz, together with the teaching and non-teaching personnel, SPTA officers, parents, and members of the school community.

Prior to the start of the sporting events, learners and teachers showcased their talents through a series of presentations. The KCS Drum and Lyre corps showcased a band exhibition. The teaching personnel energized the crowd with a retro-inspired dance performance, while learners from Kindergarten, SNEd, and Grades 1 to 3 delighted the audience with a playground demonstration featuring hula hoops, pom-poms, and fitness bars. Meanwhile, learners from Grades 4 to 6 performed colorful festival dances that highlighted the richness and diversity of Filipino culture.

Adding excitement to the celebration was the special appearance of Grimace, one of McDonald’s beloved mascots. The mascot entertained learners through interactive activities and a lively dance performance, bringing smiles and laughter to everyone present.

Following the opening program, various sports events, parlor games, and traditional Filipino games (laro ng lahi) were conducted. Learners actively participated in the activities, demonstrating teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship. Teachers also joined several games, fostering camaraderie and strengthening the bond between educators and learners.

The awarding of winners in the different sports competitions and games will be held on Monday during the flag raising ceremony, where outstanding participants will be recognized for their efforts, skills, and dedication.

Through activities such as the Sportsfest, Kapangian Central School continues to promote holistic learner development by encouraging physical fitness, teamwork, leadership, and healthy competition. The successful conduct of the event further demonstrated the school’s commitment to nurturing well-rounded learners while strengthening community engagement and school spirit.

District Learning Center III Pagdayaw 2026: Honoring Triumphs, Shaping Futures 🏆✨

On July 25, 2026, educators and school leaders from across District Learning Center III gathered at Ritz Tower de Leyte, Tacloban City, for the DLC III Pagdayaw 2026: Honoring Triumphs, Shaping Futures—a celebration recognizing the unwavering dedication, excellence, and remarkable achievements of teachers and school personnel.

The program officially commenced with a welcome address from Dr. Joelma I. Dagami, Public Schools District Supervisor of DLC III, who also delivered the message of Dr. Sherlita A. Palma, Schools Division Superintendent. The event was attended by school heads and awardees from the different schools in the district, making it a meaningful gathering of educators committed to quality education.

Among the highlights of the celebration was the recognition of outstanding teachers and personnel whose dedication has greatly contributed to the continuous improvement of school performance and learner success. Kapangian Central School proudly celebrated its awardees, who received honors including Most Outstanding Coaches and Coordinators, Most Outstanding SPED Teacher, PSDS Gawad Award, and Years in Service Awards. Teachers from Teach for the Philippines were also recognized as Reading Champions.

The program concluded with an inspiring closing message from Ma’am Gresilda H. Berino, School Head of Camansihay Elementary School, leaving everyone encouraged to continue serving with excellence and purpose.

📚 School Learning Action Cell (SLAC) on the Enrollment in the Learner Information System (LIS) and Accomplishment of LIS-Generated School Forms for School Year 2026–2027

Kapangian Central School successfully conducted its School Learning Action Cell (SLAC) on the Enrollment in the Learner Information System (LIS) and the Enrollment and Accomplishment of LIS-Generated School Forms for School Year 2026–2027, held on July 21, 2026 for Key Stage 1 Advisers and July 22, 2026 for Key Stage 2 Advisers at 4:00 PM. The session was conducted at the Principal’s Office, following the change of venue from the SBM Hub.

The activity was spearheaded by Christian C. Artoza, Teacher III and School LIS Coordinator, who guided the advisers through the proper enrollment of learners in the LIS, updating of learners’ information and records, and the correct tagging of learners’ Body Mass Index (BMI), School-Based Feeding Program (SBFP), and Conditional Cash Transfer (CCT) status. The session also provided practical coaching to ensure the accuracy and completeness of learners’ data in preparation for the opening of School Year 2026–2027.

By the end of the SLAC, all advisers were expected to immediately proceed with the enrollment of their learners in the LIS and apply the knowledge and skills gained during the session to ensure timely and accurate data submission.

Kapangian Central School extends its heartfelt gratitude to Ms. Alyssa D. Tomanda, Master Teacher, and Dr. Aurelia A. Dela Cruz, School Principal, for their unwavering support, guidance, and technical assistance in making this activity successful. Special thanks are also extended to all Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 advisers for their active participation, cooperation, and commitment to ensuring quality and reliable learner information management.

Strengthening of Security Measures at Kapangian Central School

In light of the recent security-related incident that occurred at a school in Tacloban City, Kapangian Central School is intensifying its security measures to ensure the safety and well-being of all learners, teaching personnel, non-teaching staff, and visitors.

Effective immediately, the following security protocols shall be strictly implemented:

• Enhanced monitoring of all school entrances and exits.
• Strict visitor identification and registration procedures.
• Increased supervision of students during class hours, recess, and dismissal.
• Regular inspection of school premises to ensure a safe learning environment.
• Immediate reporting of any suspicious activities, individuals, or objects within or around the school grounds.
• Strengthened coordination with local authorities and community partners regarding school safety concerns.
