The Department of Education (DepEd) is encouraging all learners and parents to ensure attendance on the first day of classes on June 8, emphasizing that the opening days of the school year play a crucial role in students’ academic journey.

📌 Why Day 1 Matters:
• Orientation on school policies and expectations
• Opportunity to meet classmates and teachers
• Introduction to learning activities and schedules
• Smooth transition into the new school year

DepEd also assured the public that schools nationwide are prepared for the opening of classes and continue to make final preparations through Brigada Eskwela.

Three-Term School Calendar Highlights:
• Opening Block – orientations and preparations
• Instructional Block – focused teaching and learning period
• End-of-Term Block – extracurricular and school activities

Classroom Update: DepEd reported that the classroom shortage has decreased from 165,000 to 144,000 classrooms, with ongoing efforts to construct and repair more facilities across the country.

𝗖𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗦𝘂𝗯𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘀 (𝟭𝟲𝟬 𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀 𝗽𝗲𝗿 𝘀𝘂𝗯𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁)
• Option 1: 1.5 hours, 4x a week
• Option 2: 1 hour, 5x a week, and 30 minutes asynchronous per subject in a week (recommended for schools implementing double shifts)
• Option 3: 1 hour, 4x a week, and 1.5 hours asynchronous per subject in a week (recommended for schools implementing double shifts)
