๐Ÿ“น ONGOING RESTORATION OF CCTV SYSTEM in Barangay Action Center (BAC) Command Center of Barangay 109-A, Tacloban City

The Barangay 109-A Action Center is currently undertaking the restoration and rehabilitation of our CCTV monitoring system following the recent burning and damage to wiring at one of our posts, as well as the deteriorating condition of several existing cameras and cables.

To ensure the continuous operation of our Command Center, necessary repairs, replacement of damaged wiring, and installation or replacement of defective CCTV cameras are now being undertaken.

Barangay 109-A currently has a total of 82 CCTV cameras strategically installed throughout the barangayโ€™s area of jurisdiction, providing vital support for:

๐Ÿ”น Traffic and road monitoring
๐Ÿ”น Emergency response

The LAC session focused on enhancing lesson planning through the ILAW Template, providing teachers with a hands-on opportunity to develop quality Daily Lesson Logs (DLLs) that are organized, purposeful, learner-centered, and aligned with learning competencies.

Through collaborative activities, sharing of best practices, and actual lesson-planning exercises, teachers strengthened their skills in creating lesson plans that support effective classroom instruction and meaningful learning experiences.

The session provided our teachers with an opportunity to understand, clarify, discuss, and reflect on the significant changes introduced by the new policy, which takes effect beginning School Year 2026โ€“2027.

Through collaborative discussions and sharing of experiences, our teachers revisited important areas such as classroom assessment, formative and summative assessment, grading, term examinations, promotion and intervention, awards and recognition, and the ethical use of Artificial Intelligence in assessment.

More than simply understanding a new DepEd Order, the LAC reminded us that policy implementation becomes meaningful when teachers are given the opportunity to learn together and translate guidelines into effective classroom practice.

As educators, we need to continually ask:

The training provided our teachers with meaningful opportunities to deepen their understanding of gender sensitivity, protection, inclusion, and school safety, while reflecting on their important role in preventing discrimination, harassment, violence, and other threats to the well-being of learners.

More than policies and guidelines, the activity reminded us that safety begins with awareness, empathy, vigilance, and collective action. Every teacher, school personnel, learner, parent, and community partner has a role to play in making our school a place where everyone feels safe, valued, respected, and protected. ๐Ÿค๐Ÿ’œ

As educators, our responsibility goes beyond teaching lessons inside the classroom. We also protect, guide, listen, and create spaces where every learner can learn without fear.
