WORK AND CLASSES SUSPENDED FOR TOMORROW, AUGUST 26

As per OUP Advisory no. 01-08-2025 work and classes in all levels across the EVSU System are suspended on Tuesday, August 26.

This suspension, as announced by the Department of Interior and Local Government, is precautionary in nature due to inclement weather.

Activities for the Opening of the Charter Celebration on August 26 are hereby postponed to a later date.

However, all other activities scheduled on the succeeding dates shall proceed as planned.

𝗝𝗨𝗦𝗧 𝗜𝗡: The Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs (VPAA) has directed the conduct of online classes instead of face-to-face sessions across all campuses of Eastern Visayas State University on Friday, August 22, through Memorandum No. 35, Series of 2025 released today, August 20.

𝗝𝗨𝗦𝗧 𝗜𝗡: The Office of the University President (OUP) has officially suspended work and classes in the Main Campus effective immediately this afternoon, July 30, through Memorandum No. 07-10-2025, in response to the tsunami advisory issued by PHIVOLCS and the declaration of the City Government of Tacloban.

Said suspension is part of precautionary measures following the magnitude 8.7 earthquake off Kamchatka, Russia, which prompted PHIVOLCS to issue a Tsunami Advisory for Minor Sea-Level Disturbance for several coastal provinces, including Eastern Visayas.

Meanwhile, campus directors of satellite campuses may also suspend work once corresponding local advisories are issued by their respective Local Executives. | via Alrey Lacaba, The Industrial Wheel News

EVSU Students,

A Certificate of Registration (COR) is your proof of enrollment. It must be signed by the Head (on behalf of the Dean) and the University Registrar. If your name does not appear on the faculty class list, it means you are not officially enrolled.

You are only allowed to attend classes where you are officially listed. Once you see in your portal that you are "Registered", your FHE (signed by the Dean) and COR have already been transmitted to our office.

You may claim your copy of the signed FHE and COR at your respective departments a day after it has been transmitted and registered.

Please make sure the term indicated on your FHE is "1st Semester, AY 2025-2026". Some FHEs were returned due to incorrect term indication and no signature of the student and parent, so please check that the term is correctly stated and duly signed to avoid delays.

Again, if it remains "Processing", it has not yet been transmitted to us.
