📣 RVPIS Holds Parent Orientation for ARAL Summer Program 2026
Cabalawan, Tacloban City - Ridge View Park Integrated School conducted the first day of its ARAL Summer Program through a parent orientation held today, May 5, 2026, at the school’s covered court, welcoming parents and guardians of this year’s ARAL tutees to strengthen collaboration between the school and the community while aiming to enhance learners’ numeracy and literacy skills.
The orientation was led by the school principal, Mr. Danilo S. Quejada, and ARAL Program Coordinator, Mrs. Milafer R. Daban, who both emphasized the importance of the initiative in addressing learning gaps among students.
Mr. Quejada highlighted the program’s core mission of improving learners’ foundational skills, particularly in numeracy and literacy. He stressed that student success relies heavily on active cooperation between educators and families.
“The success of our learners depends on the strong partnership between the school and the home,” Mr. Quejada said, encouraging parents to actively support and reinforce learning activities beyond the classroom.
Meanwhile, Mrs. Daban presented an overview of the ARAL Summer Program, outlining its objectives, structure, and expected outcomes. She also introduced the team of dedicated teacher-volunteers who will serve as tutors throughout the program, providing targeted academic support to participating students.
Classes for the ARAL Summer Program are set to begin the following day, marking the official start of learning sessions for participating students.
The successful orientation marks the beginning of a collaborative effort between RVPIS and families to foster meaningful learning experiences and promote student achievement.

📣 || RVPIS Senior Girl Scouts Join Regional Camp in Cebu, Championing Leadership and Empowerment ||
Tacloban City, Leyte - Two Senior Girl Scouts from RVPIS successfully participated in the Regional Annual Junior, Senior, and Cadet Camp, embracing the theme “EmpowHER to Act: LeadHERship for Lasting Change", held from March 21–26 at the Marina Yulo-Vargas Program and Training Center in Brgy. Kalunasan, Cebu City.
Maria Willana Homerez and Meica Separa, together with the school’s GSP Coordinator and member of the GSP Leyte Council, Mrs. Milafer R. Daban, actively took part in the six-day camp filled with meaningful learning experiences and collaborative activities.
The participants engaged with fellow scouts from different councils, fostering camaraderie, discipline, and leadership throughout the duration of the program.
The camp featured a variety of enriching and skill-building activities designed to empower and challenge the participants. Among these were “Free Being Me,” which focused on developing self-confidence, and practical First Aid Skills training. The scouts also experienced thrilling outdoor challenges such as rappelling, while expressing their creativity through mural painting and showcasing their talents during the campfire presentation.
In addition, the scouts enjoyed the Council Extravaganza and a city tour around Cebu’s well-known landmarks, including the Taoist Temple, the National Museum of the Philippines, the Cross of Magellan, the Basilica of Sto. Niño de Cebu, and the SkyView at SM Seaside, allowing them to appreciate the rich culture and history of the city.
The successful participation of the RVPIS Senior Girl Scouts would not have been possible without the support of the school principal, the GSP Leyte Council, the generous and supportive parents of the senior scouts, and all those who contributed and extended their help to make this meaningful journey to Cebu possible.

📣 || GRADES SIX AND TEN LEARNERS ENGAGE IN RECOLLECTION ACTIVITY, EMBRACING SPIRITUAL GROWTH ||
Cabalawan, Tacloban City — Graduating Grade Six pupils of Batch 2025–2026 took a meaningful pause from their academic routines to participate in a recollection activity held last Friday, March 20, at the covered court of Ridge View Park Integrated School, Cabalawan, Tacloban City.
The session was facilitated by Dr. Severo L. Blanco II, Campus Ministry-in-Charge of Eastern Visayas State University, who guided the pupils through a series of reflective and interactive activities.
During the recollection, Dr. Blanco shared valuable insights that encouraged the pupils to reflect on their life purpose and the importance of spiritual and personal growth. Through engaging discussions and activities, the learners were given the opportunity to deepen their understanding of themselves and their values.
He also emphasized the significance of discovering one’s purpose as the pupils prepare to transition to the next stage of their academic journey.
The activity aimed to strengthen the pupils’ spiritual formation, equipping them not only for future academic challenges but also for personal development grounded in faith and values.
