As part of its unwavering commitment to community empowerment and sustainable skill-building, the 𝗘𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻 𝗩𝗶𝘀𝗮𝘆𝗮𝘀 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 (𝗘𝗩𝗦𝗨), through the 𝗗𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗖𝗵𝗲𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘆, proudly presents the milestones of its 𝗖𝗛𝗘𝗠-𝗛𝗔𝗖𝗞𝗦 (Harnessing and Applying Chemistry Knowledge and Skills) Extension Program. From laboratory theory to real-world entrepreneurship, we are empowering our communities one product at a time!

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐁𝐔𝐁𝐁𝐋𝐄 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭 (Building Up Businesses and Better Livelihood through Empowerment)
Focusing on practical chemistry, this project empowered at least 30 beneficiaries—including Barangay Officials, SK members, and ALS learners—in 𝗕𝗿𝗴𝘆. 𝗦𝗮𝗻 𝗜𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗿𝗼, 𝗧𝗮𝗻𝗮𝘂𝗮𝗻, 𝗟𝗲𝘆𝘁𝗲 on 𝗙𝗲𝗯𝗿𝘂𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝟮𝟰, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲. During this initiative, participants mastered the roles of surfactants and raw materials, learning the exact ratios needed for high-quality dishwashing liquid. We explored the "Chemodities" curriculum, introducing eco-friendly dish tabs and the principles of Sustainable Green Chemistry to minimize environmental impact, while training extended beyond the beaker to cover business planning, pricing, and marketing strategies for local and online platforms.

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐆𝐋𝐎𝐖 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭 (Girls Learning Opportunities in Waxworks)
This research-based initiative also conducted on 𝗙𝗲𝗯𝗿𝘂𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝟮𝟰, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 at 𝗘𝗩𝗦𝗨 - 𝗠𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗖𝗮𝗺𝗽𝘂𝘀, 𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴, provided 30 ALS learners with the tools for financial independence. The project allowed learners to apply findings from the study "Scented Mosquito Repellent Candles" to create functional products using essential oils and various wax types. Through hands-on mastery—from melting and pouring to adding wicks and dyes—participants created container, scented, and decorative candles, transforming simple materials into marketable art while fostering creativity and self-reliance.

The program culminated in a vibrant showcase during the 𝗘𝗩𝗦𝗨 𝗙𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸! Our faculty and 𝗕𝗦 𝗖𝗵𝗲𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘆 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝐬 stood together at our department booth, successfully selling the dishwashing liquid produced during our sessions. This activity bridged the gap between classroom chemistry and community resilience, proving that our products are ready for carinderias, canteens, and sari-sari stores.
