Ngayong Pasko, alalahanin natin ang kapanganakan ng ating Panginoong Hesus sa simpleng sabsaban sa Bethlehem—ang unang ‘king-sized bed.’ ✨

The event was held at Palompon Institute of Technology, Palompon, Leyte, from December 9–12, 2025.

Your remarkable performance on a regional stage truly proves that there is something 𝓼𝓹𝓮𝓬𝓲𝓪𝓵 in the passion, creativity, and dedication of Values Educators. You have brought pride and inspiration to the entire AVED community.

Exactly three months ago, the Association of Values Educators hosted its Acquaintance Party with the theme Sunday's Best, featuring lively entertainment and vibrant attire. In attendance were the AVED Adviser, Ma’am Michelle Torreros, along with other faculty members: Ma’am Louise Roperez, Ma’am Karlvie Nadine Capisinio, Ma’am Annica Nuevas, and Dr. Dennis Bautista. The event included games and other interactive activities, highlighted by spirited performances from selected BSED-Values Education students.

The spirit of camaraderie filled the room, and smiles captured in every moment summed up the event. In essence, it was morally GOOD 💫✨

"Ipinagdiriwang ngayon ng bansa ang Kalinis-linisang Paglilihi ni Maria, ang pagdiriwang ng pagiging 𝘗𝘢𝘵𝘳𝘰𝘯𝘢 𝘗𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘤𝘪𝘱𝘢𝘭 𝘥𝘦 𝘍𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘱𝘪𝘯𝘢𝘴 (Principal Patroness of the Philippines).

Nag-ugat ang malalim at marubdob na debosyong ito sa Mahal na Ina mula pa noong panahon ng mga Kastila, at nagsilbi itong ilaw at gabay sa napakaraming Pilipinong may tapat na pagkilala at pagmamahal sa Ina ng ating Panginoon. Kaya naman tinawag ang Pilipinas na “𝘜𝘯 𝘗𝘶𝘦𝘣𝘭𝘰 𝘈𝘮𝘢𝘯𝘵𝘦 𝘥𝘦 𝘔𝘢𝘳𝘪𝘢” — isang bayang umiibig kay Maria — dahil sa lawak ng mga debosyong nakaukol sa Mahal na Birhen.

𝙆𝙖𝙪𝙣𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙆𝙖𝙖𝙡𝙖𝙢𝙖𝙣:

Noong 1858, nagpakita ang Mahal na Ina kay St. Bernadette Soubirous sa Lourdes, Pransiya. Tinanong ni Bernadette ang napakagandang babaeng nakita niya: “Qui es-tu?” (Who are you?). At sumagot ang Mahal na Birhen:
“Que soy era Immaculada Councepciou.”
“I am the Immaculate Conception.”

Ito ay isang makapangyarihang pagpapatunay—dahil apat na taon bago ang pagpapakita sa Lourdes, noong 1854, idineklara ni Pope Pius IX bilang dogma ng Simbahan ang katotohanang ito: ang Kalinis-linisang Paglilihi ni Maria.

Simula noon, libo-libong deboto ang pumupunta sa Massabielle, kung saan nagpakita si Maria, at maraming himalang ipinagkaloob mula sa batis na sumibol sa mismong lugar ng kaniyang pagpapakita.

𝙍𝙀𝘼𝘿 | The Association of Values Educators showcased its learning outputs from the different year levels of the Bachelor of Secondary Education major in Values Education during the COE Exhibition, which was formally opened on Wednesday, December 03, at the ORC Quadrangle.

Meanwhile, selected third-year researchers demonstrated their wit and academic competence during the Research Showcase Dissemination Forum held at the MSR Building. The researchers Paul S. Rama, Susan Joy L. Dela Cruz, and Angeline L. Atencio successfully presented their study titled “Character Challenges in Values Education of Senior Students and Their Coping Mechanisms in the Philippine University,” contributing to the advancement of the program by providing a deeper understanding of the challenges and coping mechanisms of BSED–Values Education students.

Behind the success of this academic presentation were their Research Adviser, Mr. Neil Murillo, and the Research 1 and 2 Adviser for Values Education, Dr. Dennis M. Bautista, whose guidance and expertise significantly shaped the study.

Si Andres Bonifacio, na ipinanganak noong Nobyembre 30, 1863, sa Maynila, at namatay noong Mayo 10, 1897, ay isang nasyonalistang Pilipino na nagtatag ng Katipunan at naglakbay sa Espanya noong Agosto ng 1896. (Britannica, 2025)

Magsilbing 𝐀𝐋𝐀𝐁 at tanglaw ang mga ginawang kontribusyon ni Bonifacio, alang-alang sa bansang kaniyang sinisinta.

𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗗 | Fun-filled learning unfolded last November 26, 2025, at the Mini Theater, hosted by two programs under the College of Education (Bachelor of Secondary Education Major in Social Studies and Bachelor of Secondary Education Major in Values Education, with special participation from BPED First Year Students. The event, titled “𝗘𝗹𝗲𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗘𝗗: 𝗩𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻” with the theme “𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴: 𝗔𝗱𝘃𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵, 𝗗𝗶𝗴𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗜𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗠𝗼𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗻 𝗣𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀,” highlighted transformative educational pathways through research, digital integration, values-infused pedagogy, and the MATATAG Curriculum.

The morning session began with Dr. Max Teody T. Quimalat, who delivered “Navigating Research Excellence: From Research Skill Development to Journal Publication.” His talk revealed the deeper, human dimension behind the technicalities of research and emphasized the formative journey it offers.
This was followed by Mr. Joel J. Labado with “Tech-Enhanced Teaching: Mastering Digital Tools for Effective Instruction.” He shared insights on where to find and how to utilize appropriate digital tools to elevate the teaching & learning experience.

The afternoon session opened with the third topic, “Teaching Values Beyond Words: Creating Experiences That Shape Character,” presented by Mr. Yancy A. Borromeo. He emphasized the broad spectrum of values that can be integrated into learning experiences.
Shortly after, Ms. Laurena M. Roperez discussed “Navigating MATATAG: Unpacking the New Curriculum for Enhanced Learning.” She explained the salient features of the MATATAG Curriculum and concluded with a sample demonstration to wrap up the session.

As underscored by the Chair for BSED-Social Studies and BSED-Values Education, Prof. Charie Ann C. Padullo, the event was remarkable, an aesthetic perfectly captured through the richness of insights shared, reminding all future educators of the significant role they play in shaping learning and society.
