Today, September 18, 2026, the Association of Values Education held its Acquaintance Party with the theme ๐”๐ง๐ซ๐š๐ฏ๐ž๐ฅ๐ข๐ง๐ : ๐”๐ง๐ฆ๐š๐ฌ๐ค๐ข๐ง๐  ๐€๐•๐„๐ƒ ๐Ÿ๐ŸŽ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ”! The event brought together students from all year levels, along with the dedicated faculties from the Values Education and Social Studies departments.

Everyone showed off their fiery outfits and brought their witty energy to the fun games! Even though the party lasted for just one day, the shared laughter and strong bonds will surely stay for a long time. Through this gathering, the AVEDgers successfully got to know each other and felt free to be themselves. Indeed, all the students were on fire, everyone was enthusiastic and gave their all in every game.

And behind the success of this unforgettable event was the hard work and dedication of the AVED officers and every single AVEDger who made it all possible. The code has been cracked and the masks have been unveiled. Until the next gathering, AVEDgers! โค๏ธโ€๐Ÿ”ฅ

On ๐’๐ž๐ฉ๐ญ๐ž๐ฆ๐›๐ž๐ซ ๐ŸŽ๐Ÿ—, ๐Ÿ๐ŸŽ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ”, the ๐€๐ฌ๐ฌ๐จ๐œ๐ข๐š๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐•๐š๐ฅ๐ฎ๐ž๐ฌ ๐„๐๐ฎ๐œ๐š๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง successfully held its much-awaited ๐†๐ž๐ง๐ž๐ซ๐š๐ฅ ๐€๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ž๐ฆ๐›๐ฅ๐ฒ, with students from all year levels of the BSED Values Education program joining the event.

The assembly served as a meaningful way for unity and orientation, with the formal introduction of the faculty members of BSED Values Education and BSED Social Studies, together with the newly elected AVED Officers for A.Y. 2026-2027. As it was more than just an introduction, the event had a full discussion about the organization's Constitution and By-Laws, the Retention Policy, and a reminder of the core values of Leyte Normal University โ€” Integrity, Excellence, and Service. The assembly showed AVED's commitment to guiding future teachers who are not only good in academics, but also have good values.

Derived from the Waray word โ€œkatitirok,โ€ meaning to gather or come together, this assembly serves as an avenue for AVED members to come together, stay informed, and actively participate in matters concerning the organization. It will also provide an opportunity to discuss important updates and activities for the semester as we continue to grow as one AVED community and as future Values Educators.

The Association of Values Educators warmly welcomes everyone during Dayon Normalista. This is not just about welcoming a new Academic Year, it is about making this moment extra special for all as we officially begin our classes. We embrace the start of a new journey, and every new beginning comes with its own little challenges.

Some of you may feel nervous, a little lost, or even overwhelmed by new faces, new schedules, and new surroundings. That is all part of the journey, the first step is always the hardest, but it is also the most exciting one. Today marks the start of classes, and every step forward, even the small ones, counts.
