The UP Tacloban community extends its warmest congratulations to the UP Tacloban Football Club Alumni for their outstanding achievement at the LigaIskolar Alumni Cup 2026, held on 9 May 2026 at the Dynamic Herb Borromeo Sports Complex in Talisay, Cebu.

The Men’s Team emerged as Champions, and the Women’s Team secured 1st Runner-Up.

UP Tacloban College will compete in this year’s Regional State Colleges and Universities Athletic Association (SCUAA) Meet to be held on 19–25 April 2026 in Tacloban City, Leyte.

In support of the UPTC SCUAA athletes, the Ways and Means Subcommittee of the UPTC SCUAA Committee invites all UPTC alumni, friends, and allies to purchase an official UPTC SCUAA shirt. Proceeds from the sale will form part of the fund for the delegation's miscellaneous expenses as they represent the college in the SCUAA meet.

RESCHEDULED: UP Tacloban Fun Run for Women’s Month

The UP Tacloban Fun Run for Women’s Month, originally scheduled for 29 March 2026 as part of the series of activities for the 2026 National Women’s Month, is rescheduled to 12 April 2026. All registered participants will receive an official email notification regarding this postponement.

The rescheduling of the event, now titled “UP Tacloban Fun Run for Women’s Rights,” aims to encourage greater participation and align with the UPTC’s observance of Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM) in April, which highlights the importance of education and awareness in preventing sexual violence and advancing women’s rights.

As inter-collegiate sports empower women to build strength, character, and community, proceeds from this fun run will support UP Tacloban athletes competing in the upcoming State Colleges and Universities Athletic Association (SCUAA).

Our celebration of women’s achievements and leadership extends beyond March. Together, let us continue to march forward with strength, resilience, and solidarity in advocating for a more gender-inclusive future.
