Supreme Elementary Government Officer Conducts Drug awareness Symposium For Learners in November.
In celebration of Drug Awareness Month, The Supreme Elementary Government Officer organized a series of educational activities last November 25-26 2024, to help learners understand the dangers of drug abuse and promote healthy living.
The main highlight of the event was a drug awareness symposium for grades 4-6. The SELG together with their adviser Mrs. Shara Jane. Gayudan shared valuable information with the participants. The session focused on the harmful effect of drugs, the importance of making decisions and on how to stay drug free.
In addition to the symposium a poster making contest was held. The participants were tasked with creating posters that depicted the negative consequences of drug-use and the benefits of a drug-free lifestyle.
The winners for the poster making contest were Sharaine hope Baquiran (1st placer), Elaiza Cammagay (2nd placer), Marcelino Soto (3rd placer), Ana Marie Abbacan (4th placer). They were awarded with cash prizes as a way to recognize their efforts and creativity in spreading awareness about drug prevention.
The school principal, Dolores D. Ganotice expressed her gratitude to the SELG Officers, advisers, teachers and participants for making the month-long observance of drug awareness month an educational and impactful experience.
