History was made on May 2, 2025, under the shimmer of lights and the mystery of masks as Kalinga State University Laboratory High School (KSU-LHS) held its first-ever Graduation Ball, marking a significant milestone in the institution's history. Themed as a royal masquerade, the event combined elegance, celebration, and heartfelt reflection as students from Grades 10 and 12 came together for an unforgettable evening.
Students, faculty, and honored guests arrived in stunning royal masquerade attire, setting the tone for an evening of glamour and youthful festivity. The program commenced with an opening prayer led by SBO Adviser Genalyn A. Ferrer, followed by warm welcome remarks from Grade 12 Adviser Lynlyn M. Bawagan-Daluping.
Although University President Dr. Joy Grace P. Doctor was unable to attend, the event retained its prestige with an inspiring message delivered by the KSU Vice President for Academics and Student Development, Marilou B. Adora, who stepped in on her behalf. Dr. Maria Cyrila C. Bawer, Dean of the College of Education, further uplifted the spirit of the evening with her inspirational words.
The heart of the program featured nostalgic slideshow presentations titled โA Walk Down Memory Lane,โ capturing memorable moments of both Grade 10 and Grade 12 students. These were followed by beautifully choreographed cotillion dances performed by each grade level, showcasing poise and unity. Faculty and staff also delighted the audience with a special performance, contributing to the nightโs lighthearted yet emotional atmosphere.

The final Youth Group meeting for the school year 2024โ2025, held on April 30, was more than a simple gathering, it became a deeply personal and emotional moment for many students as they were invited to reflect, respond, and recommit their hearts.
Spearheaded once again by the Student Body Organization, the culminating activity was marked by the presence of a special guest, Youth Leader Janeese Yogyog, who was invited by SBO President Jade Ellize Angsuban to deliver a message of faith that centered on acceptance โ not just of one another, but of the love and grace offered through Jesus.
Standing before the gathered students, Yogyog shared about Godโs open invitation โ a message of belonging and redemption. Her words built to a quiet yet powerful moment when she asked, โDo you believe in Jesus, and accept Him?โ A hush fell over the crowd as students were invited to reflect not just on what they believed, but who they were willing to follow.
In an atmosphere filled with sincerity, many bowed their heads, some with closed eyes, others quietly moved โ and together, they prayed. It wasnโt a performance, but a personal and collective decision. The prayer that followed was one of dedication: a commitment to serve God wholeheartedly, to walk in love, and to carry that love into the lives of others.
For many, it was more than just the end of a school year. It was the beginning of something deeper โ a step forward in faith, and a reminder that even in the busiest halls of youth, moments of stillness can stir lasting change.
As the last Youth Group gathering closed, there were no loud celebrations โ only quiet hearts, grateful tears, and the sense that something meaningful had just taken place.

A Youth Group activity organized by the Student Body Organization became a moment of meaningful reflection for students as Jeremy Bravo, a participating youth member, delivered a message centered on faith, redemption, and compassion, April 22.
Quoting Romans 3:25 (NLT), Bravo reminded attendees of a foundational Christian belief: โFor God presented Jesus as the sacrifice for sin. People are made right with God when they believe that Jesus sacrificed his life, shedding his blood.โ He urged listeners to acknowledge human imperfection and recognize the significance of Christโs sacrifice, portraying it as the bridge that reconnects humanity with God.
โBecause the holy and the unholy cannot be united, God, in His great love, offered His Son, Jesus, as a sacrifice for our sins,โ Bravo shared. โThrough Jesus, we are given the chance to be reunited with Him when our life on earth ends.โ
He further emphasized that faith is not only a belief, but a way of living. Echoing the message of John 3:16, Bravo encouraged students to live in a way that reflects love, compassion, and service to others, regardless of their background or past.
โWhen we surrender our lives to Christ, we are called to live as He did,โ he said. โSo, in everything we do, letโs continue to reflect on Godโs love for us, allowing it to shape our actions and lead others closer to Him.โ
The event, grounded in both personal conviction and shared values, concluded on a note of quiet thoughtfulness, as students were left not just with a message, but a challenge to carry that message forward in their daily lives.

March 7,2025: The Student Body Organization (SBO) launched an initiative to plant 22 ๐๐ฎ๐๐ฎ๐ถ๐ถ๐ฎ๐ป ๐ฃ๐ฎ๐น๐บ ๐ง๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ฒ๐ at the Kalinga State University Laboratory High School grounds which became a vital effort to establishing both a greener and more beautiful campus.
The ๐ฃ๐ฎ๐น๐บ ๐ง๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ฒ ๐ฃ๐น๐ฎ๐ป๐๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐ฃ๐ฟ๐ผ๐ท๐ฒ๐ฐ๐ serves two purposes by creating a visually pleasing campus while preserving our commitment to protecting our environment for the long term. The planted trees will exist as markers of our collective environmental protection commitment which will continue to inspire the students today and those to come.
A great big thanks goes to our exceptional teachers, ma'am Genalyn Ferrer(SBO Advisor) and ma'am Gila Paguel who played an essential role in helping us plant the saplings along with Audrian Pavon, and Louise Jereza for their dedication in helping in this activity.
We also extend our gratitude to our president, Jade Ellize Angsuban, and her family for their unwavering commitment. We deeply appreciate the time and effort they dedicated to purchasing and ensuring the safe delivery of these palm trees to our campus.
All of the beloved ๐๐ฆ๐จ-๐๐๐ฆ ๐๐๐๐ฑ๐ฒ๐ป๐๐ deserve our appreciation for helping us achieve our project through partaking in our Income-Generating Projects (selling meals, drinks, and more). The financial support from the school community enabled us to bring this idea to life through the purchase of these Palm Trees. This is just the beginning โ we will continue to use these funds for even greater initiatives that promote sustainability and positive change.
The spirit of teamwork within the school community has grown stronger as we have built a lasting impact on environmental conservation together. The project involves something more significant than tree planting because it creates a sustainable future for everyone.
