STCI and Ifugao Academy Libraries Partner to Boost Educational Services

The Saint Tonis College Inc. (STCI) Library Services Department recently extended technical assistance to the Ifugao Academy (IA) Library to support its ongoing administrative development. Faith Mizpah Jamandre, STCI High School Library Assistant, visited IA to lead the initiative. During the visit, IA personnel received an initial orientation on documenting library services to help establish structured guidelines for their library operations. This engagement marks the latest chapter in a decade-long partnership between the two schools. In 2014, STCI librarians Donalyn Calngan and Lailanie Buyuccan conducted the first on-site library collaboration at IA. Later, in 2021, the department hosted a virtual workshop titled "OUTCOMES. OUTREACH. OUTSTANDING: Libraries Beyond Boundaries." The pandemic-response training was facilitated by Divine Lovelle B. Liclic, the former Chief Librarian and current Director of Libraries, alongside Ms. Buyuccan, who also served as a facilitator to guide IA personnel on distance-learning reference systems and print material organization.

Championing the belief that education thrives through collaboration, STCI President Dr. Kathleen Rose L. Guimbatan and VP for Operations & Finance Wilbur Jose Balinsat were also at IA to participate in the continuing activities of the NHC Consortium. Joining fellow academic leaders in Kiangan, Ifugao, their visit underscored a shared commitment among consortium members to strengthen institutional partnerships, advance academic excellence, and share best practices in education.
