๐ฅ๐ โNutrition & ARH Lectures for Grades 4-6!โ๐ฉธ๐งผ
Our Grades 4-6 learners gained vital knowledge today through engaging sessions on โNutrition & Eating Habitsโ and โAdolescent Reproductive Health (ARH)โ, focusing on โMenstrual Healthโ and โHygieneโ. Delivered by our dedicated School Nurse, Janice Michelle Mangaoang, these talks empower our students to make healthy choices! ๐๐ช
We emphasized balanced diets, mindful eating, and proper hygiene practices to build strong bodies and habits for life.
These activities support โOplan Kalusugan sa DepEd (OKD)โ under โDepEd Order No. 28, s. 2018โ, promoting comprehensive school health including nutrition education and WASH. For nutrition, it aligns with โDepEd Order No. 13, s. 2017โ on healthy food choices to foster better eating habits and prevent chronic diseases. ARH efforts, including menstrual health and hygiene, follow DepEd's policies for age-appropriate reproductive health education and services.
Our School TWG continues OKD's mission, partnering with health experts like Nurse Janice to nurture healthier futures.

๐งผ๐ถ โHandwashing Activity with Scrub-a-Dub-Dub and the Red Cross!โ ๐ถ๐งผ
Today, our little learners transformed into โHandwashing Heroesโ! They paired the catchy rhythm of "A Ram Sam Sam" (our fun twist on Scrub-a-Dub-Dub!) with proper hygiene techniques, guided by the Red Cross volunteers. ๐งด๐๐ฆ
We're turning cleanliness into a blast while keeping our community healthy and germ-free!
This activity aligns perfectly with โOplan Kalusugan sa DepEd (OKD)โ under โDepEd Order No. 28, s. 2018โ, which promotes Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) in Schools (WinS) as a flagship program. It emphasizes launching age-appropriate practices like daily handwashing to foster healthier behaviors and better learning outcomes.
Our School TWG is committed to OKD's holistic approach, converging health programs for our Kinder to Grade 6 learners. Partners like the Red Cross make these initiatives shine!
