LIS Kicks Off SY 2026–2027 with Series of Orientation and Development Activities
The school officially opened School Year (SY) 2026–2027 with a week-long series of activities aimed at ensuring a smooth transition for learners, parents, and personnel while reinforcing the school's commitment to quality education.
The opening of classes welcomed students back to campus, marking the beginning of another academic year filled with opportunities for learning, growth, and achievement. Teachers and staff facilitated classroom orientations and other preparatory activities to help learners adjust to the new school environment.
A key event during the first week was the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) Orientation, where parents and guardians were briefed on the school's Three-Term Curriculum and other important school programs, policies, and initiatives. The activity provided an avenue for parents to better understand the academic framework and strengthen their partnership with the school in supporting learner development.
The school also conducted its first Learning Action Cell (LAC) Session for the year under the leadership of the newly installed school head, Mr. Jose R. Quanso. During the session, faculty members discussed priorities for the school year, professional development initiatives, and strategies to further improve teaching and learning outcomes. The meeting also served as an opportunity for Mr. Quanso to share his vision and goals for the school community.
Meanwhile, homeroom meetings were held across grade levels to orient students and parents on classroom policies, academic expectations, and school regulations. The meetings fostered open communication between advisers, learners, and parents, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed and engaged from the outset of the school year.
Other activities conducted during the week included learner orientations, classroom organization, and school-based initiatives designed to promote a positive and productive learning environment.
As the first week came to a close, the school community demonstrated strong collaboration and readiness for the challenges ahead. With the active participation of learners, parents, teachers, and school leaders, SY 2026–2027 has begun on a promising note, setting the stage for a successful and meaningful academic year.

“Today, as we commemorate National Flag Day, let us reflect on the meaning and symbolism behind the Filipino flag”.🇵🇭
On May 28, 1898, the Philippine Flag was proudly unfurled and waved for the first time following the Philippine Revolutionary Army's victory over Spanish forces in Imus, Cavite.
Today, as we commemorate National Flag Day, let us reflect on the meaning and symbolism behind the Filipino flag. 🇵🇭
