โPalompon Institute of Technology (PIT) Tabango formally kicked off Academic Year 2026โ2027 through its General Orientation on August 19, 2026, at the PIT Tabango Multi-Purpose Covered Court, gathering faculty members, first year students, and parents, along with three representatives from the PIT Main Campus who joined the orientation and shared their support for the academic community.
โ
โThe event formally commenced with a prayer led by Dr. Christian Caben M. Larisma, Head of General and Teacher Education (GenEd), followed by the singing of the Philippine National Anthem, led by Ms. Jessa P. Baloro, faculty member.
โ
โThe orientation proceeded with a welcome message from Dr. Nelson N. Enage, VPAA of PIT Main, before moving to discussions on the institutionโs history, vision, mission, goals, organizational structure, academic policies, student discipline, and various student services.
โ
โโEducation is not only about gaining knowledge. It is about preparing ourselves for a better life in the future. Through education, students can gain opportunities, make better choices, and build a future that is better than what they have today,โ Dr. Enage added, reminding students that the knowledge, values, and experiences they gain throughout their education can help shape the opportunities and choices they will have in the years ahead.
โ
โAmong the speakers were Dr. Christian Caben M. Larisma, Head of General and Teacher Education (GenEd), who delivered a message highlighting the importance of active participation, responsibility, and commitment among students as they embark on a new academic year. In his message, Dr. Larisma reminded students that success is not solely measured by personal achievements, but by living according to Godโs purpose and direction.
โ
โ"Godโs purpose is not really to make a person successful. If there is a person who is first in Christ, there is no one who is first in his own mind. We are called to live according to His will and purpose,โ Dr. Larisma stated.
โ
The program continued with the speakers sharing meaningful insights and experiences aimed at guiding and inspiring the students throughout the academic year.
โThe discussion highlighted the importance of being responsible, committed, and actively involved in both academic and extracurricular activities. Encouraging the students to make the most of the opportunities provided by the institution, while reminding them not to be afraid to express themselves, share their thoughts, and openly communicate what they feel.
โ
โThrough this message, the students were encouraged to become more confident in voicing their ideas and concerns and to recognize that expressing themselves is an important part of their personal growth and development.
โ
โThe orientation concluded with closing remarks delivered by the Campus Director, Dr. Catalino L. Centillas Jr., who emphasized the importance of unity and collaboration among parents, students, and the institution in shaping responsible and competent individuals.
โ
โโLet us move forward together, parents and students, with one vision, one commitment, and one circle of support to help our students become responsible, competent, and well-rounded individuals," he stated.
โ
โMore than an introduction to the institution, the activity emphasized the importance of responsibility, active participation, self-expression, and collaboration among students, parents, faculty, and school administrators. With a shared commitment and vision, the PIT Tabango community looks forward to a productive academic year filled with opportunities for learning, growth, and meaningful experiences.
