Summer Academic Program is a wrap! 🎉

It may have been a short journey, but the program truly made an impact. The individualized approach of Heaven School showed remarkable improvement in each child. Aside from helping suppress the effects of the “summer slide,” the social skills, experiences, and meaningful interactions contributed greatly to every child’s development.

Congratulations to all our learners, parents, and teachers for a successful summer program! Thank you for being part of this wonderful journey, and we look forward to seeing you all again at the next Summer Camp! ☀️📚

Heaven School Summer Program

Good day, parents and students.

May 27 is observed as Eid’l Adha (Feast of Sacrifice) in the Philippines; therefore, tomorrow is a legal holiday.

Since we are already nearing the completion of our Summer Program, sessions will still continue tomorrow, including the conduct of post-program assessments. However, attendance will be optional and will depend on the discretion of the parents if they would allow their children to attend.

Thank you for your understanding and continued support.

A differentiated approach in learning is often considered one of the best strategies because it recognizes that students learn in different ways, at different speeds, and with different strengths. Instead of teaching everyone exactly the same way, it adapts instruction to fit learners’ needs.

Here’s why it works well:

1. Addresses Individual Differences
Students vary in readiness, interests, language, background, and learning styles. Differentiated learning allows teachers to adjust:
* content (what students learn)
* process (how they learn)
* product (how they show learning)
2. Improves Engagement
Learners are more motivated when activities match their abilities and interests. A student who struggles with lectures may excel through visuals, hands-on tasks, or group work.
3. Supports Both Struggling and Advanced Learners
* Struggling students receive extra support or simplified tasks.
* Advanced learners get enrichment and deeper challenges.
This prevents boredom and frustration.
4. Encourages Active Learning
Students become participants rather than passive listeners. Activities like projects, discussions, experiments, and collaborative tasks help improve understanding and retention.
5. Builds Confidence and Inclusion
When students can succeed through methods suited to them, they develop self-confidence. It also creates a more inclusive classroom where diverse learners feel valued.
6. Promotes Better Academic Performance
Research shows students learn more effectively when teaching matches their learning needs and readiness levels.

Colorful Butterfly Art Activity

Today’s special art activity was the “Colorful Butterfly” craft. This enjoyable and creative activity gave little ones the opportunity to explore colors, shapes, and imagination while making beautiful butterfly artwork.

Children used colored paper, crayons, paint, and decorative materials to design bright and attractive butterflies. The activity encouraged them to mix colors creatively and express their unique ideas through art.

Importance of the Activity

* Helped improve fine motor skills through cutting, coloring, and gluing
* Encouraged creativity and imagination
* Developed hand–eye coordination
* Built confidence as children proudly displayed their butterfly creations
* Made learning fun and interactive

The classroom became lively and cheerful with many colorful butterflies, showing the creativity and happiness of the children. This special art activity not only entertained the learners but also supported their overall development in a joyful way.
